DataCamp: Data Science and AI 4+

I love the app, the content and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in Data Analysis... I have the app 5 stars ⭐️ but to fully earn these I would love to see:

- personal notebook are that would allow us to do further study certain topics.
- the ability to save / fork the lesson documents into a personal archive or bookmarks or something for faster cross reference. Most of us when learning something new we tend to take notes and reference them in the future as we apply the information to new projects. It would be so useful to have these notes/bookmarks connected somehow to the courses so that if in the future I need to come back to that particular information I can do so in a clean and fast environment
- dark theme for website and app

I’ve used Udemy in the past, and whilst this is a great platform because it has so much choice, I think DataCamp provides a seamless experience like nowhere else. If you’re learning a coding language, you learn best by doing, and there’s no doubt that this is where DataCamp excels.

It teaches by getting you to complete coding exercises after being provided with short instructor-led videos that equip you with the knowledge to complete them. This approach works perfectly. The integrated environment is a big plus because all you need is a web browser. With Udemy tutorials, you will typically be required to work in a text editor as well as download and install additional software and packages. Then you will find yourself switching between tabs, windows or glancing between screens. For some things, this is unavoidable, but if you’re trying to learn languages such as R, Python or SQL, having an all-in-one environment to work in is perfect.

There are also daily challenges you can do that can help cement the knowledge you have acquired, giving you the ability to obtain XP points.

Overall, I have not come across a better resource to learn data science on, so I fully recommend it!

The app has revolutionised my Python learning and I love it. Being able to watch the videos and do the exercises on my phone has helped me keep to a coding habit.

I do wish more courses and skills tracks were available on mobile though. I’m coming to the end of the data scientist track and am concerned I’ll lose motivation if there isn’t much more to learn. I know there are a lot of great tracks on the desktop version but I find it harder to find time to run through them.
