I have been using Deezer as my background music while doing school work for a while now. I put it on in the background in another tab on my laptop and it’s fine. I can go on flow and do whatever. The ads aren’t even that bad I just mute for twenty seconds or so an then it’s fine. Anyway I decided that it would be beneficial to get the app so I can use data and listen outside because I’m not carrying my laptop around with me! But after listening through one of my playlists ONCE I found that when I went to repeat it, it came up with a song that wasn’t even in the playlist!!! I found that I couldn’t listen to ANY of my music from my playlists that I have spent MONTHS of solid listening (I listened to 800 tracks last month for context) to and refining. Clicking the play button just plays recommendations and it’s such a scam!! And not to mention the offers!! On desktop there are ads for Deezer Student, which is apparently just like premium, but for students so it’s cheaper. I checked the offers on my phone and it’s not even mentioned!! I am thoroughly disappointed because I found this fabulous music service on my laptop and it has good music and great quality and ok ads, but the phone version is such a scam and everything leads to ‘this wouldn’t happen if you had Premium maybe you should go buy it’. They focus on the phones and leave the laptop version so easy to use it’s ridiculous the difference. I was seriously considering buying the student offer. Now I’m not so sure. Please consider not scamming us Deezer.

I’ve had Deezer for years now, possible about 4-5 years and this is the only music app I’ve ever used, but a few improvements would be mostly about lyrics, some songs have lyrics available like ‘Du hast’ by Rammstein, it has lyrics if you have lyrics on during the previous song and wait for it to end and it will show the lyrics but if you don’t do that the lyrics button will not show and wouldn’t let lyrics be shown and in ‘Oogie Boogie’s song’ there are a few lyrics are not shown when Oogie Boogie says ‘I’m gonna do my stuff’ and after that Sandy Claws says ‘Well what’re you going to do?’ And Oogie says ‘I’m going to do the best I can’ and those lyrics don’t show (the previous 2 lines) and back to lyrics not showing at all, in barely Eminem songs the lyrics button doesn’t show but it has lyrics if you have lyrics on the previous song etc. but now you can’t do the lyrics on previous song to do it now because lyrics don’t show on the next song even if it does has lyrics, please improve it in those ways.

I recently switched from another streaming platform, and so far deezer has been pretty good! The layout and customisation for playlist images is nice (although i wish you could also customise what shows on the main home page too) and for the most part its very user friendly. I was expecting a lot less of my favourite songs to be on there but thankfully its only missing a few - one slight issue to note is that if you are searching for a particularly niche band, as i often do as i listen to a lot of local music, often if you even search the exact name of the band, they may not show up or will show up at the very bottom of the list -perhaps a filter that allows you to show only exact matches to your search or “most relevant” would work for this issue? I’ve found in some cases i have to switch between searching for band and song name or album name, as sometimes a song won’t appear in search but the album it is part of will. I’d also appreciate being able to make certain sizes bigger as an accessibility feature - as it is now i find it difficult to see which playlist i’m adding to, as the icons and titles are very small. It would also be very nice if an icon would show up beside your playlists to show whether or not you had already added a song you were trying to add to the playlist. Overall, its a good app so far with a few nitpicks!

Deezer is a all around good app to have. It has every song I’ve wanted to listen to and the songs are very clear and are very good. Although the app is good there are a few minor faults that I wish were easily fixable. When I first downloaded Deezer I had the freedom to listen to whatever I pleased whenever and wherever I please with or without WiFi then all of a sudden BAM, and everything had to be played by shuffle mode and the only way to get my freedom back was to pay for premium, which I understand is how Deezer makes money. But because of this so called premium update Deezer has been messing up for me a lot lately for example; I play a song on my playlist and it will be alright then the second song it goes on isn’t even in my library. Majority of the time I don’t even know the songs it plays so I always have to reset Deezer to play a song from my playlist but it keeps on happening. When I’m out and about the songs will also suddenly stop wether my data is on or not and it will take me a long time to get it working again.I am not saying to not download Deezer because when Deezer does work it’s a brilliant app, sometimes the ads are even enjoyable (SOMETIMES), and I hate all ads. But what I’m saying is that Deezer could be improved further to attract a wider audience and a lot more people will use Deezer if our freedom is granted to us without having to pay for it. Or at least keep the shuffle mode but let everyone use Deezer offline.
