Unfortunately, their customer service is not particularly good. I used to use Deliveroo on a regular basis, as they’ve got a number of features which are great (real-time order and rider tracking, and a monthly subscription service). But recently, I had a very poor experience. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my order, the app showed my rider was outside.. then suddenly, the order was marked delivered and that was the end of it. But neither the rider nor the food were anywhere to be seen. I waited 5 minutes incase it showed up, but then spoke to Deliveroo via live chat. The agent tried to contact the rider, but after two unsuccessful attempts they placed a new replacement order for me.Sounds like the agent provided great service, but they only did what they had to do. My second order then had some tracking issues, where I then had to speak to another agent, and eventually ended up taking over an hour to arrive. A total of 2 hours of waiting for the food - at least it finally arrived.. but neither of the two agents offered any compensation for the problem! Not even for the delivery fee which is ridiculous considering the delivery was effectively over an hour late. (Perhaps I should’ve expected this, because there was a previous incident where part of my food arrived in a poor state and that was never refunded either!) Incredibly disappointed and it’s a shame because all had gone well until now. Ubereats, from my experience, have provided far better customer service when things go wrong.

I ordered twice by their app. The first one, my sushi was wrong and they gave me some credit back to spend. That was not too bad treatment.The second time, I ordered to other adress by mistake and they told me “if I wanted my order to my current adress I would have to order exactly the same items” I said sorry and I was happy to wait to my food although it was cold, but apparently, the driver went in the oposite way to my adress so going to my real position was impossible. Then, I did a new orded as they told me, and paid again but after 5 minutes, the guy appeared with the first order. I tried to cancelled the second one but it was so late apparently and other driver appeared suddenly. The driver called them but I had to try to solver out this issue again because the driver didn’t speak English and he didn’t know how find a solution. So second driver went back with the second order which I was trying to cancel. Basically I paid for an order what was eaten by the driver.I did a call again, becasue this situation was upsetting me. They couldn’t give to me my money back about the first order cos it was my mistake, but I did the second order like they recommended me and I didn’t want to pay for that. It was their mistake and they just give me back from the second order a credit to the next order. I wanted my money back cos it was a large order of £40, but they just can give credit.So, to sum up, I paid for my mistake and they give a credit for their mistake and they eat your food. Disgusting customer services.

Absolute garbage! Said 15mins delivery, no tracking available on that restaurant so contact them which would be ok if they answered , turns up 45 mins after estimated time which was well after the deleivery time of 15 mins before I paid the £25 for two pizzas with fries & large pop, & a burger fries & can . No BURGER I PAID £5.99 FOR ONLY 3 TINY FRIES IN A SCREWED UP BAG TO GO WITH PIZZAS , No Large pop substituted with cans of pop including the pop I should have got with my none existent burger order! My kids were asleep when it came & my other half won’t eat vegi pizza which is why I paid for burger I didn’t get! Who gives me my money back for the burger & the waste of food that was so late the driver knocked us out of bed? £25 wasted! Who refunds me?!I don’t see why I should pay for waiting how long then not getting most of what I ordered & paid for as well as the inconvenience of it all? The only good thing about it was the pizza was hot when I got up to get it off the driver which tells me it had only just left the shop but is your responsibility to make sure correct times are advertised & followed & people are able to track their order or is that the reason why we can’t because the times advertised by you are known to be wrong before purchase? Also 2 pizzas & 1 burger with chips & a none descript dip I paid for isn’t a large order for £25!to leave out one of the two ‘meal deals’ so I would have thought out of two meal deals one could have been right & somewhere near on time instead of the middle of the night! If I dont get refunded in full i wont use either again & wont recommend to anyone because I'm livid not stupid!
