defo recommend<3

i actually saw this on TikTok in the middle of fashion class and immediately thought it wouldn't work. it sounded too good to be true and i was taught if something sounds too good to be true, then it is. but this isn't! i downloaded it and to my surprise it worked soso well, both today and yesterday ive been downloading tons of games i played when i was a little girl and it's so nostalgic for me, it's saved me so much money now I don't need to buy physical copies of these games! I only have one complaint, but it's hopefully something they'll add in a later update; it's that it's only Nintendo consoles, going up to the DS. it's definitely not worth giving them 4 stars instead of 5 over because this app is relatively new, just thought id give my two cents in case the developers read this; the app has overwhelmingly positive reviews, which it deserves, so hopefully they will in fact add later consoles like the Wii or maybe some non-Nintendo consoles like the PlayStation 🩷🩷 but that aside i 100% recommend, there's tons of tutorials on tiktok and online to help if you ever get stuck but it's genuinely super simple<3

Works great with a couple of caviats

So I have DS files required and playing Pokemon Black on it - however, sometimes it crashed but I have found this is due to the C-Gear and auto saves, so far so good now C-Gear is disabled and I have locked the latest save state I manually created. Obviously, with that then the rule is save save save. Like after each battle or during a big sized event.

But another issue I have found is on some N64 games some colours don't load, like Goldeneye, the icons are black when chosing a save file (but this is fine) and Mario Golf is not great because the grass is all black. I played a few games so is playable, even got a birdie on one hole but most likely down to luck. Couldn't really see the hole either until it zoomed in when putting.

BUT

This emulator is a god send, iOS and iPad OS definitely needed this in a non jailbroken, or hacked way of doing it. Simply go to app store, download and done. Fantastic. I look forward to when Genesis/Mega Drive becomes available.

The issues I had are obviously down to it being an emulator and understandable that such dev work has gotten us this far, so can't be too picky about it as what does work, works very well and will just have to accept that the parts that don't work, they just don't work and should just move on, it's fine.

Finally a Good Emulator! iPad Version Please 人 ´∀`)

This is a really good emulator and if you’re just using it on an iPhone, it’s not just good, it’s great. It has a very polished look, and I’ve noticed that the input latency on my iPad Pro using a switch pro controller is better than anything else that I’ve tried, which is very impressive. I would almost never play emulated games using touch controls, but for those few times when I would do that, I think that the hold button option within the in-game menu is a really clever idea.

However, I think it’s a bit frustrating that Riley has an iPad version of this app. It’s already complete. He doesn’t need to do anything to it (see his Patreon for details), but he chose to not put that on the App Store, just the iPhone version. So iPad users are left with an iPhone app that only fills part of the screen.

Anyway, I’ve been having a blast playing through my N64 collection again on my iPad, using this, and it’s just shown me once again that the iPad and iPhone are the ideal platforms for playing retro games.
