One man. One Bus. Three hundred and sixty miles of simulated post-apocalyptic desert, and the endless struggle between man and nature personified.

Desert Bus. The most realistic verisimilitude reality game ever created by man or beast or man-beast is here at last. So real in action, you’ll think you were really the driver of a bus crossing a Desert.

No way out, no way home but the long way - by tow truck. Desert Bus puts you, the player, to the ultimate test of endurance in this mind-numbing blowout experience. There is no other game quite like Desert Bus.

Originally conceived by Penn, Teller, and Eddie Gorodetsky, this game was made in support of the annual Desert Bus for Hope charity fundraiser for Child's Play, hosted by the crew from LoadingReadyRun.

Great historic game! (For real gamers)

First of...for those who are marking this game down...shame on you for not knowing what this original game was released by penn & teller on an old megadrive/genesis game as a tongue-in-cheek joke and a stab at criticism from politicians etc who blamed games for being too violent and ruining kids they conceived this...genius! it's 'Uneventful' for a reason...geddit!? not much too the game but a good game to have a giggle with and experience. Plus it's for charity! :D

I thought that this app was boring because the road was straight it kept on stopping and I had to keep quitting and restarting the game and I found it annoying. Now I've bought it I wish I had just saved my 69p and just waited, found a game that was good and bought that instead. When people say its great its not. I also thought that just driving a bus along a long straight road where almost everything looks the same is very boring and I would delete this game altogether from the App Store so people don't make the same mistake that I did and get ripped off because this game is rubbish and this idea would be great if you could use lots of vehicles, get out of the vehicles and you could choose where you drive it. On this game you only get to use the bus in the dessert and I thought that tips app was a waste of money and you might as well go and throw your 69p down the drain

Enjoyable, maybe a bit monotonous

My bus trip started at Tucson (I didn't really have a choice) and I was made to drive to Vegas (again, no choice). I don't know how long it takes in real-life hours to do this drive (Google maps says 6 hrs 21 minutes) but after 7 hours and 13 minutes my iPhone battery failed. I tried again about a week later, with a charger plugged in. The whole journey took 8 hours. I found that I couldn't play my iTunes songs over the top, which I would have done on a real journey, nor could I stop the bus to go to the toilet. Apart from that the journey was fairly realistic, except when I arrived in Vegas, when the graphics really let themselves down. Also, I only managed to get 1 point, so I'm not sure if I did something wrong?
