Description

If you want to reclaim tens of gigabytes of your storage used for various Xcode caches - this tool is for you!

Xcode could store tens of gigabytes in ~/Library/Developer folder. Most of those cached files & symbols are not reclaimed over time and could consume a large amount of your storage, which is especially important if you have relatively small SSD drive.

DevCleaner gives you an easy way to inspect auto-generated files and clean them if necessary. It could also remind you about scan after a while.

It includes command line tool that allows you to include cleaning in your scripts.

Must have if you are using Xcode

Altough Xcode is a great tool it is lacking a clean function and takes up a lot of space in a short amount of time, however DevCleaner is here to the rescue. Especially if you are limited on your diskspace this app will help you clear a lot of GB which Xcode bags up after a while of using.

Download it and forget manual cleaning of the Derived data or older device simulator files. One click and boom 20 GB reclaimed. I only use it for a couple of months and it saved me 40 GB already.

Well done for the developer. Keep up the good work. You should email Apple as they should implement this app into Xcode directly that would be a great credit :)

Great tool thats saved my sanity on a small HD when developing with SwiftUI

Since work upgraded me to an M1 with the smallest hard drive, my disk space has been getting eaten up with previews and and swap disk. This meant I had to restart my laptop several times a day as well as run with minimal programs. This program enabled me clear out and monitor old simulators and OS versions freeing up enough disk space to prevent me rebooting constantly

Great app

Great app, saves me dealing with stuff that I normally would have to do manually, especially clearing derived-data and un-needed device support platforms.

I like how it also allows control over which archives you want to delete.

The only thing that this app could do with is the ability to quickly (one button), select all archives except the latest one for each app build.
