Great
Great app worked well, so pleased we used this instead of an expensive tour. We could visit all the places we wanted to see. Having the water fountains marked was a great help, if you take a water bottle and a bandana/ small towel that you can wet and wipe around your neck very refreshing in the heat. Also if you plan to be there all day take an extra battery for your phone as the GPS will drain your phone quickly
Sounds good but…
On site it fails in many ways even though I paid for the full version. You need the sat Nav to tell you where you are to find which audio to use. In Pompeii coverage is very poor so you’ll need to close and refresh the app to find out where you are, All the signage in Pompeii uses the Italian names but this menu of contents is in English making searching a guessing game. Worst of all the Audio simply describes what you see and gives almost no information beyond what you can learn from simply looking. The written info was not accessible on the full version. The only use I found in practice was to find the toilets quickly which I believe is available on the free version.
Advice to the makers ..add the house numbers to the map !

Thanks for your feedback Lythril, in the new version that become available last week we fixed the GPS issue, so you won't need to restart the app to pick up the new location, and added the italian version of the names in the map and in the list.
We'll think about adding the house numbers as well.

This app really made our trip to Pompeii. The map, the guides and the information were really helpful.
The app provides audio and written information so you can choose to listen or read.
The maps are accurate and if you use GPS location it moves with you. The little markers pointing out the water fountains were so useful as well.
Amazed this app is free, it’s better than the official paid one.
