Great for OCR

I have used this app for many years, but recently they added the ability to OCR the text and output a searchable PDF with the text under the input image. This is exactly what I want. I recently bought an expensive OCR program for my PC, but when it did a terrible job on a blurred image of an old newspaper article, I tried importing the image to this App and it did a very good job at the OCR.

The Flying Scotsman !!!
I can’t understand why there are so many negative reviews. I’ve just downloaded the free version of this App and so far it seems to function pretty well.I was previously using an old version of this app called DocScan HD which at the time was free but since the latest OS update it no longer works due to the developers no longer supporting it. This is very disappointing since I had a few hundred PDFs stored which I can no longer access.I’m sure that there are better (and possibly more expensive) scanning apps available but the features on this app are more than adequate for my requirements.

I can confirm that this is definitely the best of the bunch.UPDATE: There is no scanner in the App Store that is better than this one.UPDATE: I have just tried two more scanners, then deleted them. DocScan is still my No.1 favourite.

I often need to scan receipts and other documents when on the road, and this app is excellent for doing so. Especially useful is the ability to crop and resize documents.I’ve had it for a considerable time and would not be without it.
