Reassuring to have this on my dog who tends to roam some distance when off-lead in the woods but:1) The tracker typically takes around 10 to 15 minutes to start registering on the iPhone app, which is frustrating.2) The company seems to have regular problems with its server (the reason given when I query a performance issue) which slows the start-up even further and can lead to loss of tracking for a while.Maybe they need to invest in an upgraded system before too many customers lose faith.

Got the nano just before Christmas as I was getting fed up losing my jack Russel in my local woodland chasing rabbits. What can I say, this tracker is absolutely BRILLIANT! I no longer spend my afternoons shouting down every rabbit hole looking crazy as I now just open the nano app, see where the little @@@@ has gone and within minutes rather than hours I’ve got him back. So after a quick tweak of the tracker from there customer services when I first got the nano, a quick 5 minuet call, there customer services are absolutely brilliant as well by the way! The tracker has not missed a beat and the accuracy is pretty amazing! Just so impressed with the tracker! There customer service and basically the company as a whole. Couldn’t recommend the dog tracker nano any more highly! Absolutely brilliant!

Bought this on recommendation from friends, after frustration with another brand of tracker (which was a waste of money). I have a rescue beagle who likes to take off, following his nose, chasing squirrels & the anxiety while trying to find him was unbearable. It got to the point where I couldn’t let him off the lead. With the Dog Tracker Nano I honestly can walk him & stay calm. I can see where he is, and it just gives me huge peace of mind. I have recommended it to so many people (especially other beagle owners). My only 1 piece of advice - once you get one, charge regularly (daily / 2 days) as I sometimes forget!

Since using this DogTracker nano I do have a few issues, the first is that it constantly needs charging even though my chocolate lab is 11 months and walks are around 1 hour per day, secondly what a ridiculously fiddly way of charging the device and thirdly, the instructions advise that the antenna should be secured flat to the collar, I have tried black tape which then becomes ripped and tatty with use, and have now resorted to securing it with elastic bands. These are in my view serious design faults. I did not pay this kind of money to use elastic bands. Also the app seems to work better on my partner’s phone in that he receives alerts before me that the battery is low. I am using an IPhone 7 and he has a Samsung. Unfortunately I have paid a year’s subscription up front.
