Have you ever wasted time repositioning application windows so you can see two windows simultaneously?
Do you struggle to move and resize windows so that they don’t overlap?
DoublePane effortlessly repositions application windows to maximize your screen space for easy side-by-side viewing.
With one click, DoublePane will place the current window to the left half of the screen. With a second click, DoublePane will move a second window to the right half of the screen. You no longer spend time sizing or repositioning open windows. You can layout your screen to maximize your productivity.
DoublePane’s side-by-side viewing allows you to easily:
* Edit two documents without spending time sizing or positioning them.
* Drag and drop files between two applications.
* Read an article on one half of the screen while taking notes on the other half.
DoublePane lets you position the current window through an onscreen menu or by using assignable keyboard shortcuts.
* Move a window to the left half of the screen
* Move a window to the right half of the screen
* Position a window to fill the entire screen
* Restore the original size and position of a window

This is brilliant handy application
A few things, please bring “snap” like on Windows so it can automatically adjust the windows so each window fits perfectly, include the option to move the windows right or left with the handy shortcuts, also update the icon as a previous reviewer suggested, Thanks!
This is an essential utility for me. It’s up there with Typinator and Bartender. Handy when working between two applications, especially handy on laptop screens when every bit of usable space counts. I don’t crave extra features, just continued compatibility with new versions of OS X.
Fantastic - should be built into OS X
Great little app that gets rid of my only gripe about OS X since switching from evil Windows. Once its set up (a quick tick in the unviersal acces panel - do what it tells you) and set to run at login it sits in the background and lets you properly 'maximize' and tile windows side by side with simple keyboard shortcuts - Cinch does the same but to me is fiddlier as you have to use mouse / trackpad (it's also more than twice the price...).
One suggestion - could we not have a further shortcut added to the existing ctrl-alt left/right/up selection - say ctrl-alt-down - to restore original window size and position?
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
