Excellent game with reality checks

I really really like this game.
One of the main bonuses for me is the not needing to join an alliance. I believe teams are available for those who like that.

It does take some time to learn how to play effectively and there are plenty of tuition plays you can re check out whenever you need.

The reality check:
One used to spend £25-£50 on a game for your PS etc…
Now with this online format, if you want to progress significantly, you have to spend a lot £1000’s of energy (bread), upgrades etc…
I don’t have any available funds. I spent the min I could £4.99 to give something back, but even that is out of my budget.

For those of us that are f2p: there are no ads and there is a lot to do early on. Once you’ve reached the 2nd region, you will find yourself logging off often as progress becomes difficult due to not having any bread to be able to play in certain areas to get your upgrades.
Be patient with that. Accept that’s where these games are now. Only the rich can win.
If you revise your strategy, do your research and learn the game mechanics. You can do very well without spending.

It would be nice if there were better awards for completing some levels, but the developers only want the rich to win, so the rest of us will have to get our pleasure in small doses.

Good luck and happy gaming.

Very Good

It’s a Very Good mobile game. It’s not pay to win, nor does it require in app purchases to play. They don’t nag you and harass you for money, they just let you play the game and if you want to buy stuff you can. In fact nothing they offer in the store is even worth buying, it’s all overpriced and under powered. I spent 4.99 on these crystals and they are entirely redundant, I’ll probably never even spend them because they don’t really do anything I can’t just do myself in game in 30 minutes of playing. But they are welcome to the 4.99 imo, because I like the game. Definitely recommend if you like this kind of fantasy game. You get your hero cards, build a team with synergistic power elements, balance for attack, defence, support etc. You do quests to acquire recourses and upgrade your best cards to defeat stronger and strong enemies. The mechanics are pretty classic. So far the stories and quests have been ok, nothing too deep or anything but interesting enough and definitely a world that has some flesh to it. I definitely recommend it if you like this kind of game, it’s worth a try and it won’t ruin itself by being a money hungry nuisance the entire time.

Love it.

One of my biggest regrets is that I wasn’t able to play D&D growing up… or even as an adult but this makes me feel like I’m playing it. Such a great game. It’s the first game in many years that I’ve enjoyed enough to do a deep dive into learning the full game play. (I think the last time was final fantasy 8) Easy to play but complex enough that you can geek out if you want to. I initially found it a bit difficult to keep track of all the side missions but I’ve found out how to get back to unfinished business. I hope it takes me ages to finish!
