Best on the market. Hazard Perception explained really well
olih41
The multiple-choice quiz/practice questions are phrased well and are in the same format as the real test. Every category in the app is explained in tutorial videos if you’re not sure about anything. The app has character and personality which means you tend to remember your mistakes, so you improve quicker. You can see what you did well on and what you need improve on at the end of each set of questions. Personal training plans can be setup easily so you can learn (and eventually master) any aspects of driving theory that you aren’t too good at. There are progress bars for both the questions and hazard perception sections so you can clearly see how you’re getting on. The hazard perception concept is explained really well, much better than on other driving theory apps. The videos are presented in the same way as in the real test. There’s always an option to review the video clip after you’ve attempted spotting the hazard, no matter how you scored. When reviewing, James talks through the clip so you know when to press and for what reason you should be pressing. Passed first time. Got the app 5-6 weeks before my test date and did a few quizzes/questions here and there. About 12 days before the test I ramped up the hours and mastered both the practice and hazard perception sections. I did 8 or 9 practice tests (for both sections), starting around 5 days before the test. This made me feel confident. P.S. There’s always a little comment or a sarcastic remark after you complete a hazard perception video or a category of questions, even if you did well… the true James May way
This helped me pass first time

This app helped me pass my theory test first time. It’s simple to use, straight forward and doesn’t make any of the criteria more complicated. There are multiple ways to learn on this app whether that being the training plan that gives you a little bit of everything as a small reviser. There was “The James May way” which I found to be very useful as it was cut into sections those being simplified topics of what would come up in the real test. I found this method the most useful as I could happily focus on the section I struggled with the most. The mock test which puts you in a scenario like you would be in the real thing but it’s just a mock test and nothing counts. Yes this app may have been a huge help and that is why I passed first time but like anything out there that you want to achieve, you have to put the time and effort in to make it count. Doesn’t have to take a whole day, could just be 15 minutes or an hour a day. Over time that you’ll really benefit and you’ll thank yourself. Really good app, would recommend it to anyone. The videos are straight to the point and give off a very reassuring tone. And it’s developed by James may, a literal legend so why wouldn’t you? He knows his stuff.
Worth the £6.99

I never pay for apps because I’m apprehensive about their quality. However, the 10,000s of positive reviews and feedback for this app is absolutely true. I downloaded it 6 weeks before my theory and used it daily to train for the test which I passed. The app is well laid out and it is quite nice to have the comical commentary of James May. I definitely recommend this to anyone who’s got their theory coming up, especially if you’re like me and failed it before. It’s helps make learning fun and memorable. To the app developers, I feel there are few tweaks needed - on the day of the test I wanted to use the app to revise quickly just before but it asked if I’d passed my test. I had to click “haven’t taken it yet” then reset the test date so I could check that off. Adding a time of test could be nice so it doesn’t preemptively ask if it’s passed as I’m sure many use it on the day of. Also more hazard perception videos if it’s possible because I had learned them all and felt like I was only passing on the app because I knew what and when the hazard was going to be.
Great App better than the 4 in 1

I like how immersive this app is. You can easily navigate through it and it makes sure you understand what you’re doing. The training plans are a great idea. However, I did not do the training plan and mastered each topic individually on the multiple choice and Hazard perception. Thanks to this I passed first try! The downside is that it said I was gonna fail because I didn’t complete the training tasks. It also doesn’t allow you to share whether you have passed or not without the training plan feature. There was also a bit of misinformation being the fact that I would fail because I hadn’t done 100% mastery. I had only done 50% on both sections and I felt that was enough for me to pass, which I assumed correctly. Im still going to hate the app for saying I would fail just because I went about the training plan differently. The app also crashes a lot when on the hazard perception section which was annoying because it would make me do it again, when all I wanted was to access the video explanation. Apart from that the app was really good and is easy for anyone of All ages to understand 👍🏾
