Doesn’t support many file types

This app doesn’t support playing many of my file types. Can you add a feature to open it in the VLC Apple TV app as an alternative? VLC works with everything! I’m mainly asking as this is how I use the DS video iPhone app and it would be great on Apple TV also!

Works sometimes

Firstly handles only some formats, hard to tell which as despite encoding a load of DVDs in the same format, some work and some don’t which unsupported format error. Oddly, many of those that don’t work directly in DS Video, do work when played back via DS File, another app from Synology so that’s a bit weird and a terrible user experience.

Secondly, DS Video now refuses to even play anything now from two different NAS behind two different router/firewall on two different ISPs. I get a vague port forwarding error despite no changes to firewall rules on both routers.

Not impressed with the half hearted delivery of many Synology apps.

Major bug

Another crap update by the developer who doesn't test it's software! No super slow on iPhone 7

This app has major bugs when trying to use a samsung home tv, the volume will be put to maximum and there is no way of turn it down unless you switch off the app!

The developers dont test their apps but instead rely on people finding them and posting them online, unfortunately it makes them totally useless! I will avoid synology products in the future!
