Addictive rogue like Dungeonlord Defence
You are a dungeonlord ,
You are trying to survive for as long as possible
Each round you survive you get to choose a reward from a new monster to a new trap room or battle room or even equipment for existing monsters
You build your dungeon , place your monsters , defend your dungeonlord and the further you get the more abyss points you are rewarded, these are then used to buy permanent upgrades for future games from new monsters to awesome equipment to passive bonuses...
Be warned the game is ADDICTIVE , it’s a hybrid of tower defence, hero defence and rogue like .... I am a gamer , and quite frankly this game is worth buying ... the other game from the same designer is o.k , the UI is a bit clunky, but it doesn’t WOW like this game ...I bought his other game purely to support the development of future games... that’s how much I enjoyed this one.
Whilst the idea is simple, there are some serious advance mechanics , combinations and extras.. the more time you invest into the game the more in depth the game becomes .. plus after you manage to get past level 100 on each difficulty you unlock the next level difficulty for future games.. I have got past hard level 6 yet ... the difficult really ramps up after round 60ish ..
Buy it , play it and hate me for making you get into such an addictive game :)
What a gem
Amazing game for people who love the grind and dungeon building. Its like an idle game crossed with dungeon keeper. My favourite thing is the prestige system, I play to unlock things and try new strategies, would love more ways to craft, like 2 silver stars made from one silver star.
Please please add extra star levels for all buildings and units, being able to work towards silver star (6star) things is so amazing, but I feel once I hit enough of them theres nothing left to upgrade till the next run. If we had a system that went from Bronze 1 to gold 5 with each additional star being a mix of the stars below it would add endless tactics and planning even after unlocking everything. Would also love more complex ascendency abilities for heroes, some feel a little bland.
Game of the year so far!
Update: the game was updated quickly and no more crashes since. There’s still a few bugs with some of the cards not quite reading as intended and a few values are wrongs, but I think the dev has proved they’re working on improvements. Absolutely recommended so moving from 2 stars to 5.
Original review: The game has crashed three times in the first half an hour. Done the usual hard reset and it still happens, I’m using a standard iPhone 8 so there’s no excuses for such poor performance. Hope they fix it soon or I’ve just wasted £3.
