Did what it said, moved duplicate pictures and videos to a folder
Every time I sync my iPhone, for some reason iTunes keeps importing the same images and videos, and doesn’t identify them as duplicates. Surely Apple will have a ‘find duplicate’ feature in photo ?
Apparently Apple thought better of it and left such a useful feature out. This is why this app is such a God-send. It doesn’t delete anything itself, so no chance of anything serious going wrong, it just finds all duplicates and moves them to an Album called "Duplicate Marked Photos". From there you can delete them yourself :-) Excellent App !!!
Excellent App
After iPhoto swirched to Photos on my Mac, it no longer automatically transferred recent photos from my phone. SO I had to connect the phone to the Mac. Having made the mistake then of allowing Mac to upload "all" , I ended up with loads of duplicates. A bit nervous about using a programme to go through them, but this little app worked a treat. It removed 6502 photos and saved me 4.75 Gb of space. Instructions were clear and I had final say of whether to delete. Very pleased, oh, and the app was free!!!

Great little program that clans up all your duplicates like a dream. And FREE. What more could you ask? I've been looking for a way to access and clear duplicates in my iPhoto library for ages. This program completed the job in minutes.
