Description

Duty Pro is the only pocket police guide app to provide you with a comprehensive list of criminal offences in both simple and ‘Guidethrough’ modes, walking you through every step of the investigation process and providing you with offence specific requirements along the way.

No monthly subscriptions, no catch. Just a one-off fee and it's yours. With no time-consuming or delinquent application updates required to maintain correct information, Duty Pro is supremely powerful.

Duty Pro is revolutionising the way British police officers maintain their status as the world's best. It provides you with a formidable and highly effective tool to look up and reference criminal and traffic offences and procedures during the course of your investigations.

With the option of two outstanding display modes, you can decide how you'd like Duty Pro to present the information to you.

In ‘Simple’ mode, Duty Pro will show you everything you need to know about the offence, including offence wording, prosecution time limits, charging codes and maximum sentences. All designed in a clear and easy to navigate interface.

In the exceptional ‘Guidethrough’ mode, not only will it display everything you will see in ‘Simple’ mode, it is smartly and dynamically written to walk you through exactly what steps you should be taking both legally and procedurally. Broken down into easily-identifiable stages of the investigative process, Duty Pro will assist you through the initial account right through to court procedures.

Also included is:

• A convenient contacts list, providing helpful contact information of police services and other linked organisations around the country which contains (where available):

• Specific police service telephone number, email address and website
• Force PNC and Home Office radio codes
• Integrated map locating the force headquarters and directions

• A wellbeing directory, providing information to users on where help can be obtained from everything including mental health to financial services to Police Officers.

• A document library, providing an array of useful PDF documents and publications for police officers and victims from various organisations.

Duty Pro is perfect not only for police officers but for other members of the policing family including PCSOs, Special Constables, and civilian investigators. Written in lay terms, it has helped law students, appropriate adults, solicitors, and legal advocates better understand the policing procedures available to them.

A genuine pocket police guide, all in the palm of your hand.

God sent!

This app is by far the best for anyone who needs to look up a legislation quickly. It’s very well formatted and easy to navigate through.
It’s useful for civilians just like myself to look up offences rather than searching through google and trying to make sense of certain offences.
I love the structure and style which is easy to remember when coming back to look for something.
Great app. Thanks developer for putting this together.

Good layout

This is a great app for officers new and established. Easy to use and navigate and has some great features especially around traffic offences and volume crime. The app lacks mental health legislation as far as I can see and would benefit from having airwave channels for each force on the directory. Other that than the doughnut feature is a brilliant idea giving you bite size legislation that help top up your knowledge. On par with other apps but could offer more in terms of mental health legislation, statement helpers and flow charts as depicted by College of Policing best practice such as the NDM (unless I’ve just not managed to find them). Could also do with more railway by laws as it only covers trespass (BTP).

In summary, great layout but in my opinion not as comprehensive as similar police “pocket apps”.

Not bad

Having been a user of pocket sergeant for ages I was looking for a change since they wanted subscriptions on top of paying for the app. This is a good rival app and the user interface is nice and manageable. I do feel that an a-z glossary of offences is visually appealing to me and for some reason made it easier for me to digest. The one thing I do miss and I cannot stress it enough is POINTS TO PROVE. Sounds silly but having bullet points tell me what the deal is the pinnacle of helpful and this app doesn’t have it. I’ve had to buy pocket sergeant again which means I’m down for this app and theirs. Can points to prove be added? 5 stars if that makes an appearance as opposed to a small sentence chucked in half way through the page of offence

Developer Response ,

Hi Finmoo and thanks for your review!

I'm working on points to prove as we speak as I change the way the system works to deliver them. If you'd like to email hello@dutypro.co.uk with your contact details then I'd be happy to drop you a line when they're getting closer to release!

All the best,
Simon
