Show balance on the app
It would be good if your balance was displayed on the app also. My smart meter has stopped working you see. The touch screen has stopped working and it also turns itself off so I’m not able to see the balance until it beeps to tell me my credit is low if the smart meter is turned on. The app is fine by the way, just thought the idea of the balance being on there would be beneficial.
Ok but needs improving
Practically, the smart meter and ability to make payments online and via the app has been a god send! No more trudging up to the local paypoint (sometimes in blistering cold, wet rain) to top up my meters. I have both had and electric prepay meters, so having to top up is a regular occurrence / especially the gas during the colder winter months.
But the app particularly lacks one major component that I think users would find highly beneficial. Having a live up-to-date balance of your accounts. I’m surprised this feature isn’t already available. I travel quite a bit for my job, so being on top of my power balances is crucial for when I’m not here. I make use of my thermostat timer to make sure the gas comes on at key intervals while I’m not in, just to make sure the place has some heat and isn’t a freezer by the time of my return. So having an awareness of what my balances are whilst I’m not home would be hugely beneficial for me. As well as the ability to turn on and off my energy needs - much like the Nest brand.
Overall I do enjoy having my E account, it’s practical, a lifesaver when it comes to topping up my meters, but it does lack some features I consider essential and beneficial. Also, although I’m apparently saving money with E, at the moment I haven’t felt or seen those savings...
😡 appalling service from these pending transactions that was unsuccessful
Would really think twice of going with this gas and electric company £30 pounds is trying to go out of my account due to 3 transactions that was ‘unsuccessful’ this is really putting me off from recommending this company to friends and family also if you have a smart meter I’m sure they charge a bit more (even though I wasn’t with them previously). Swapped over from utilita energy. No out of hour call service to try and get this resolved I would of rated lower but I can’t I really hope you are not a scam by this company.(to sum it off I only have one receipt stating how much I put on my gas) this has annoyed me as me and my partner are only on a string budget and they are trying to take more money off us! Appalling service from them! Would not recommend to no one!!!!
