'easy Record and Trim' is a great way to record and trim audio and is super fast, accurate and easy to use. You can also create projects that allow you to save your work at any time. Then ‘export’ your trimmed file edits without any quality loss at all!
This is because 'easy Record and Trim' knows about the internal format of MP3 and AAC audio files and makes all its edits without any audio quality loss or file corruptions. It doesn't need to decompress and re-compress audio in order to trim or make any edits or view the audio so it's lightning fast, even with large audio files.
As well as trimming existing files 'easy Record and Trim' includes a direct MP3 or AAC file recording function.

First Project - obvious, easy, fast, no trouble
Just completed my first project with this app. Found it really easy to use. The help boxes helped to make my introduction to the app fast (though many people won’t need them and they’re easy to switch off). I installed everything, including the LAME app, uploaded the MP3 I wanted to edit, cut out the middle (which is a pro-upgrade feature - isn’t it always the features that you want that are in the paid versions?), and exported the final product in less than 20 minutes (it’ll be much faster next time). Really no messing. Happy to recommend.
Does what it says
I’m amazed but delighted to find a program this good for free. If you want to edit MP3 or M4a files - I use it for removing unwanted beginnings and ends - this is for you. It’s much more powerful than the simple things I use it for. I’m always tempted to upgrade to the pro version just to give them the money that they deserve. It’s also stable and reliable across system upgrades.
Fast, efficient and good interface. Deseves to be better known.
Nothing to lose in trying it for free. And it impresses.
Does the basic extraction of tracks very well.
And importantly, without decoding /recoding losses.
Lots more features as ‘in app purchase.
I havn’t needed these yet but may well eventually.
