As a tutor, it’s a game changer

I’ve been tutoring on the app for 3 months, while studying full time at Cambridge.

Very convenient for myself as having previously tutored students in person I know the nuisance of arranging times and places for students, and then because it has to be planned almost a week in advance there was always the issue of the student not necessarily having questions when I’m actually there.

With EasyA, I have the flexibility to be online for as little or as long as I need, and I know when I get a request the student will get help on what they actually need right when they need it. Also nice to earn some money without taking much time out of your day, no travelling, no planning hassle, and the questions are normally easy to explain quickly and properly. Having done many years of harder maths it’s almost refreshing to get a GCSE level question for a change.

I’m studying for my GCSEs now and before EasyA, I was finding maths really hard. If I didn’t know how to do a question, I was either googling the answer or texting my friends to see if they knew how to do it. With EasyA, I can just take a picture of the question and get quick and clear explanations in minutes. Many of my friends who used tutors in the past have started using EasyA after seeing me use it too. Really recommend this app to anyone who needs maths help.

Only comment is, I wish EasyA was available for my other subjects! I need As in those too!

It’s good but slow.

When you connect to a tutor it’s a great way to work through the maths/science question that you need help with. Most times they are well articulated and I have rarely had a bad experience with tutors.

HOWEVER, it can be very slow. Although it says the average wait time is ‘10 minutes’, I have waited 30+ minutes on multiple occasions. Since the introduction of ‘50 coin bounty’ to select when finalising your question, I have waited nearly 1 hour on a couple equations. This bounty apparently speed up how quick a tutor will respond. This is problematic for those who don’t have enough coins. I’ve already began using other apps similar and have found quicker and better service.
