Great Tech, App Needs Some Enhancements

Love the new app and the new bulbs, however have a bit of an issue with the wider capability.... I've got 7 RGBW bulbs in 7 different rooms and the wifi unit - all 7 work perfectly, however in the app there are only 4 groups that can control a colour bulb.... Meaning that I have to choose between 3 bulbs I don't control or work out a way to group up some of the bulbs. There's then 4 groups that control white bulbs (of which I have none). For me it would be a better customer experience to allow the user to customise which type of bulbs they want in each group (therefore allowing up to 8 colour group, 8 white groups or combinations thereof....)

It also doesn't make it too clear as to how to use the proximity sensor to turn lights on as I arrive home.

All in all a good app, but needs some minor tweaks to make it 5* for customer experience!

Beware: app not updated since 2014

Scored down from 3* as no updates have been provided since first downloading.

There are a number of issues that need to be addressed but nothing is being done. The company hasn't been able to get these bulbs widely sold (not in any major stores in the UK) and seems to have given up on its own product.

The function of flashing when your phone rings does not work. If a deaf person bought this product hoping it would do that, I imagine they would not be impressed that the company hasn't even attempted to update the app in the past two years.

This is the behaviour of a company that is about to go bust. I hope I am wrong but fear that I'm going to be stuck with outdated technology with an app that becomes so outdated, it will end up being removed from the App Store.

No HomeKit integration, no Watch app, no updates, baffling and expensive remote control that randomly disconnects, bulbs that struggle to shine brightly in colour, bulbs that don't default to white when turned on and off at the switch as they should, etc, etc. Most of these problems could be solved with a modest investment in app development.

A shame - the basic product could have been OK and with a price that beats the main competition hands down. But I suppose you get what you pay for. Easybulb: cheap, not so cheerful.

Hope the company prove me wrong - I'll gladly update my review again if they do.

Good but not great

Decided to go for it and get these for the living room, dining room and main bedroom so 8 bulbs and the wifi bridge in total. Initial set up is simple and connecting the bulbs is just as easy. They work great and the app is very responsive. However the app is very restrictive. There needs to be more groups available and the ability to set up presets would be a big plus as would HomeKit integration. It's a good start, and does work as well as Philips hue, but the hue apps especially the third party ones are better at the moment. Perhaps this is just a taste of things to come for easybulb, I do hope so.
