Cant get it to work properly
Hi, just got this to use my iPad Pro as a tablet for Corel painter on my pc.. however it doesn’t seem to work correctly.. the pen pressure doesn’t work at all and I can’t select any of the application tools via EasyCanvas on the iPad. I have to select them on the pc with the mouse (super annoying). Devs, is corelpainter not supported? If not, I won’t be purchasing this app. It’s literally all I want it for..
Can’t accomplish its purpose
The time I spent using this app was more on trying to make it work rather than doing actual work. The sad thing is, EasyCanvas was partly the reason why I bought an iPad of my own. I tested different drawing apps (trial versions) like Duet, etc. on my partner’s iPad. I liked EasyCanvas the most, and back then it was still called EasyCanvas Pro. I bought my own iPad for Procreate and EasyCanvas, and I was able to use it for a while. It did what it’s supposed to do. Until the update came where the two EasyCanvas versions became the same (payment method is the only difference), and EL Display Hub came to be as the PC software counterpart.
The specific thing that happened was, somehow whenever I use PS on the EasyCanvas screen, it will mess up the GPU of PS. It will show a dialog of “Can’t open due to program error.” And I found this out by spending so much time tinkering with settings, restarting, reinstalling and reading support pages, over the course of a 10 months. I REALLY want to make this work, but I have wasted SO MUCH time trying to make it work. So I’ll settle with using Procreate for iPad and my simple Wacom tablet for my PC. Uninstalling this app gave me a breath of relief.

The best PC graphics tablet display app
Outstanding price for an app that does as much as - and in some cases more - than the more expensive competitors.
I am currently trialing a Beta for an app by the current market leader in this field that allows the iPad to connect to the PC and I can see no discernible difference between that app and what this app already offers.
In mirror mode there is no visible lag, the resolution is crisp and the pen tilt and pressure function perfectly.
The latest update to this app however, brings something big. Something that the market leader is hoping to sell via a hardware add-on in the near future - extended desktop (as in the iPad functioning as a second display rather than being a mirror of the current display).
This update is a little rough around the edges though at the moment.
- The app asks to update every time it is opened even though it has been updated.
- There have been occasional disconnects.
- The pen pressure seems to be bugged at the moment so the pressure curve needs to be heavily adjusted in order for it to feel correct.
- Some minor lag is visible at times.
Please don’t let this discourage you from purchasing this app as issues have arisen in the past and the developers have been quick to fix.
I’m sure that by the time the competition has exited their BETA stage and released their app alongside their expensive hardware add-on the issues with this app will have been ironed out.
