Description
EasyRoute is a route planner for outdoor activities like running, biking and walking.
Simply tap the places you want to go along the way. It will follow roads and paths while also providing the freedom to route directly where you touch.
You can use EasyRoute for all of the following:
• Plan biking, running or walking routes while customizing them to be both enjoyable and safe. You can simply tap your start and destination points, or tap roads or paths you’d prefer to use along the way. You can drag the route to customize it as well.
• Let it guide you through the route on either iPhone or Apple Watch. It works equally well in the background so you can use it alongside any of the great workout tracking and analysis apps in the App Store, including the built-in Apple workout app. (With an Apple Watch, it can optionally record a workout directly to Health while following a route.)
• Customize the directions by adding, editing or removing instructions.
• Download data for offline use, so you can route in areas with no network connection.
• Share routes with others or export them to your devices -- works great with Wahoo ELEMNT bike computers! ;)
• Schedule a route and start following it right from a watch complication or an iOS 14 Home Screen widget.
• Enable iCloud to make routes on your iPad and sync them to your iPhone
• No account or sign-in required. EasyRoute does not collect information about you and there are no 3rd-party ads.
Thanks for reading this far down and considering this little app.

Love It!!
I don’t think I have ever paid for a free app... until now!! There is really no need to pay for this one as I do not find the advertising on the free version intrusive. However, after using this app all the time for over a year I felt it was only fair that I should pay, not because I particularly wanted the premium version but because I so frequently used the free version! Its just simple to quickly plot a route, work out the distance and, if required, upload the route to my Garmin Forerunner 945. It just makes route so easy. Thank you very much for making something which I do a lot just so much simpler!
The only suggestion I would make would be that it would make more sense for the last route you planned to be at the top of your saved route list. After a year there is a lot of scrolling to get to the last route saved! Only a small point.
The best route creation app for sports activities
The new iOS/iPadOS ruined this app, but at last Apple have fixed their awful Share Sheet so I can get data in and out again. Its an absolutely excellent app for creating training routes, which can then be exported to a training device, such as Wahoo or Garmin, with ease (by Open-In to their apps). In fact its also possible to import a route from another app, then to easily modify it for sending back or to another device. The app supports street view, so you can take a look at any points on the route you want, and it shows elevation data too. Its far better than the usual website route creation features.
More than it looks
Creating a route on iPhone or M1 Mac and navigating on Watch works great.
Offline maps mean I actually use the app as a general purpose map as well as routing.
Bonus points for using Valhalla as the routing engine - the cycling routes this app generates come extremely close to CycleStreets, which here in the UK is the gold standard.
