Not entirely useless, but nearly…
Speaking as a software tester of 23 years experience, this app was clearly never tested before launching. It doesn’t ask you to set your password when you create an account, so when you go to book, you find yourself having to faff about to set the password first, and lose your booking. Get password set (phone offers to save it, but saves your membership ID with it, NOT your email address, so you have to then go back and re-enter your email address which had been overwritten.), go back and book again. Doesn’t ever remember your email address, autofill isn’t mapped, so everything has to be entered manually. In other words, zero thought as to the usability of the app!
All a bit of a shambles. But I DID eventually manage to book for me and my son. So, not totally useless. Just *nearly* useless…
Terrible App, no choice but to use it
Just wasted two hours and the price of a ticket on this terrible app. It’s completely inflexible, you can only book one person for a session and you then cannot go back in to book another slot for a child or partner, they would have to install the app themselves. No refund policy, so if you make a mistake they’ce got your money. Also you can’t setup your password when you create an account you have to use the reset password email option, never seen that before, wasting more time. Of course you have to pre- book sessions online now so you have no option but to use this rotten app, when I tried to login on my laptop and book I just got internal server errors - hurrah ! This is just rubbish I’m afraid… I need three swim sessions just to calm down…
Awful
Not only is this app absolutely awful, the whole Edinburgh Leisure website is terrible too. Wanted to book adult tennis lessons. Opened the app, went to coaching section, selected Craiglockhart tennis centre, selected tennis as the option….only children’s lessons were visible.
Logged in online, went to coaching portal, selected adult beginner tennis lessons, selected book, took me to online login, signed in to my account, brought up every kind of court/activity I could hire/book but nothing about lessons. Going round and round in circles. Whoever designed this should be sacked, it’s truly not fit for purpose.
