Description

Eidetic uses a technique called spaced repetition to help you memorise anything from important phone numbers to interesting words or facts.

It works differently from typical brain training apps by using items that have meaning and context.

Perfect for students looking to remember those key facts or anyone who wants to remember friends phone numbers, new bank details or just cool words, quotes or facts you come across!

Eidetic uses notifications to remind you when it's time to test yourself. By spacing the tests out over time it helps you to retain the information in long-term memory, this is known as the 'spacing effect'.

Built in flashcard types make it easy to add items:
‌ • Dictionary
‌ • Phone Number
‌ • Fact
‌ • Number
‌ • Quote
‌ • Note

Simple intensity levels allow you to select the length of the testing period. For those who need to remember the information quickly you can cram it into one day or if you want to learn it more naturally you can space it over 2 weeks or a month!

Intensity Levels:
‌ • Cram - 1 Day
‌ • Normal - 2 Weeks
‌ • Casual - 1 Month

Really good!

I find Eidetic to be seriously helpful in learning. It's almost strange in how much I have memorised in what seems a short amount of time. However, i would like to see only two more things: a) To be able to re-order items in the list and b) Sync to iCloud in case people get a new iPhone otherwise the data will be gone.

Ignore the haters!

Hardly ever leave reviews unless I can see a lot of negative reviews that don’t make sense. Why would people complain about the fact you need to pay to unlock features, for instance?! Moving on...

For my uses, this app is fantastic - namely, learning idioms/unusual phrases in Spanish or vocab that for some reason is not sticking. Works a treat. Secondly, found it useful on occasion for learning emergency phone numbers. Third, love how it connects to Evernote (to save in perpetuity) but also fact it archives lessons that you can re-open.

I’m considering paying for this app to have multiple tests on the go at once - but the light version has been useful for the above so far one test at a time. Best regards,

Rubbish

I have been using this app for quite a while now and I can say that it's not that good. Firstly, you can only add 2 tests, and after that you have to pay! Secondly, when you are typing in a note you are memorising and then click finished, you will either be told that your doing great or bad.....if I get one word wrong they tell me that all of my work is wrong. Which is quite annoying. It's very sensitive as whatever you've wrote or how many spaces you have inserted-you will have to do just that. Very annoying and will be deleting this app as soon as I've done my exams. Will not recommend this app to anyone.
