Description
With ekey, you simply open your front door with your finger and your smart home starts right at the door. The proven convenience of keyless access is enhanced by smart applications that are administered via the ekey bionyx app. This gives you an overview of all access points, users and devices, and allows you to administer and flexibly expand your system at any time.
The most important functions at a glance:
• Easy remote opening: Never wait again to let your trusted craftsman into the house, for example. You can open the door from anywhere - whether from the office, on the go, or on vacation.
• Automatic push notifications: No more uncertainty - you can receive automatically generated messages on your smartphone as soon as someone opens your door with the fingerprint scanner. This lets you know, for example, when your child has made it home safely from school.
• Practical virtual assistant: Connect your ekey fingerprint scanner to Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa and open the door simply by voice command, e.g. when you are busy in the kitchen but guests are already at the door. More smart home connections will follow.
Your advantages:
• Maximum security: Only authorized persons can open the door. An ekey fingerprint scanner is 1,000 times more secure than the four-digit numerical code of an ATM card.
• Clear access log: All accesses of the past 30 days can be viewed.

User manual is available on ekey web site but is very hard to find.
Downloading the IoS version:-
Security critical flaw
A non admin user, when created shows up as an “Administrator”. This is a very serious problem since the non admin user has the ability to reset the system. THIS IS A SERIOUS FLAW.
The above bug is a show stopper and until addressed means the app is just a toy and not a secure system.
User critical flaw
“How to” information is described with little detail.
How to register a non-admin user is described, but certain functions shown do not appear in the app such as “Assign Function” for newly registered finger prints. The function magically appears if left arrow is pressed…..
It is likely most users will not easily find this “work around”, so will not be able to use the finger print ID function to open a door.
General problems
Technical support contact details are given. An email resulted in a reply apologising a response would be given within three days due to “large number of queries”- but no response resulted within that time. Very poor performance given the application may be mission critical.
Reply from ekey was in German language only. For an international operation, this is not good enough.
Logging out constantly
Stop logging out from my account!!! Also, your super basic version of login popup isn't recognised from Apple Keychain so it doesn't ask for remembering the password.

Will not locate device
Managed to create account and register administrator but impossible to add user. You send an invite, they download the app, it doesn’t ask for the code you have sent, then cannot locate device

Go to "Settings" within the app.
Select "Change Systems" from the options.
Click on the "System Cards" to proceed.
In the "System Cards" section, you will find the option to enter the invitation code.
