Does not open attached files in Calendar app

I purchased this app to open EML files attached to calendar appointments in the iOS calendar app. Tapping on the attached file still gives “Cannot open file. This type of attachment is not supported”. Not what I wanted. This may be an Apple issue, but I am quite disappointed! I may be doing something wrong but I thought I would give this review to prevent others making the same mistake.

Update. After my review (above) Tech Support contacted me and subsequently identified this an an iOS issue, rather than the app. Excellent follow-up even if it not solve my issue. I can confirm however, that the app works as advertised when selecting an EML file for the iOS Files app. Because of the excellent support I have upgraded my review to 4 stars.

Pretty good

Pretty good but i wish it had a dark mode override option! Some emails dont work well with dark mode.

Hello, thanks for using EML viewer. While we support dark/light mode from the system in the app, some emails themselves have a background color hardcoded into them with HTML. Changing the email to edit the colors may make other parts of the email unreadable Regular email applications also have this issue. We do hear you though!

Does exactly what it says

I use OneNote as a paperless filing system and on occasion will need to store emails within it. The .eml format doesn’t allow for preview within OneNote on the iPhone and this app solves that problem perfectly.
