Enigmo is a 3D puzzle game where you direct animated streams of flowing liquid so that the droplets get to their destination. Water, Oil, and Lava fall from Droppers and bounce around the walls of the puzzle. You move and rotate various types of bumpers, sliders, accelerators, and sponges in order to divert the flow of the falling droplets. The faster you complete each of the 50 levels, the more bonus points you receive.
The physics in Enigmo are truly amazing to watch! This is one of the most unique puzzle games ever created.
In addition to the 50 levels that come with the game, you can also download many more levels for free! As of version 1.1, you can download levels created by other users or by yourself with the Mac or PC version of Enigmo which has a built-in level editor. You may submit your levels to us and we'll include them in the public list if we like them enough.

Enigmo - Beautifully awkward.
I really wanted to like Enigmo, especially after paying for it. The graphics, the main reason this got three stars instead of two, really attracted me. Despite being a little jagged around the edges, the continued to impress, especially the livid colours used on later "droplets". I was really looking forward to getting my teeth into the puzzling nature of the game.
Unfortunately the gameplay does little to support the apps original expectations. The controls are fiddly, especially with multiple objects close to each other. Normally this would be a niggly (and, to be honest, expected) result of the touch-screen. This frustration is multiplied, however, by the game instantly imposing a timed bonus. The awkward controls, combined with a vexing random element to droplet movement, serve to demote this game to a lesson in teeth-grinding.
Good, but better on a mac.
This is a good game but it has suffered a few setbacks in its transition to the iPhone/iPod Touch (I have an ipod touch). Firstly they have cut down the number of levels from 70 in the mac version to 50 in this version. Secondly, the game causes severe overheating. It hasn't caused my iPod to shut down yet but I have quit the app after the bottom gets too hot to hold. Thirdly, the physics is not consistent. What I mean is, you can set up a chosen route for your droplets to take, but if you then move your focus to another part of the level (ie the part you were on goes off screen) then the droplets sometimes dont go where the were. This can be particularly annoying when you have to keep going back to a section to make the physics change back.
Looks and sounds great
This is a game that lets you pan around and zoom in and out by pinching. You use the various tools that have different properties to direct very fast water droplets into urns. As others say, there's no tutorial so you have to figure it out for yourself. There is a help function that gives you tips.
The graphics are 3D and very finely drawn. Quality is very high and the game runs very fast and smooth, especially considering all the droplets that bounce in various directions depending on what they touch.
Sound effects are quite spooky too.
This could be a game that will last a while before you get fed up of it.
