Great game with plenty to do

I’ve been following the journey of this game from the start and was very excited to try it out. Overall the graphics are pretty good. Some little issues like the manes can occasionally look a little stringy and I’ve found leg wraps don’t work too well on the Cobs legs because of the length of hair on their legs. Apart from that I’ve found the graphics to be pretty realistic and nice to look at.
The tack available is lovely and there are so many different options to choose from for both horse and avatar which makes the game really fun to play and show friends your wardrobe, although all of this needs to be bought either gold and gold seems to be quite a challenge to get in the game without buying it and can become very very pricey. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to pay for gold for just a saddle pad. I do think if prices of accessories were lowered ..more people would be inclined to play.
The training process is great and I’ve really enjoyed learning how to train my horses and compete in competitions!
The coat colours at the moment are limited but I think that is to be expected with the game being so new and still in development. Overall I have loved playing this game and I’m excited to see what’s the come in the future of ETG.

Underdeveloped, Potential For More

1. The graphics leave a lot to be desired. Very basic, 3D with minimal detail and very blocky landscaping. Hair both equine and human looks like weird string and doesn’t really move except in limp flops. The trail rides are underwhelming due to limited exploration and the clunky graphics. It gives off 2012 gaming era aesthetics.
2. If you’re considering the game for its customisation options, be prepared to pay £3.49 per tack item, because Gold is £3.49 for 50G, their smallest offer, and tack is by majority 20-30G+. This is a common complaint across reviews—there’s currently no way other than paying to fully tack up your horse. Also; the prices are excessive for how little you actually get.
3. I’ve trained for 3 days now, 8 hours each time, and somehow my horse still isn’t trained enough to be able to reach canter in time before the first jump in the second competition. While its impressive how realistic the controls are, its also a little annoying that on the very next day after downloading the game I’m already at a stagnant point.
4. Overall the game just feels like its a demo or first release rather than a complete game, and its definitely not as engaging as some other games I’ve played across various systems. It’s got very good potential, but IMO it needs a lot more development and content. I do eagerly await to see if the developers will be adding more or revamping existing features.

Controls and coins.

Don’t normally write reviews but this game in its current form is completely unplayable. The controls are absolutely awful and really take all enjoyment out of the game for me. I understand the reins being more realistic to an actual horse but at the end of the game it’s a game and going too far to make it realistic will ruin it, which the controls have done. I feel like tilt to control direction and buttons for speed and jumping would make it a lot nicer to play.
Coins is another thing that lets the game down. It’s seemingly impossible to buy any tack without having to spend real money, which honestly makes the devs come across extremely money hungry, as you can’t buy anything without real money. I’m sure there are plenty of people willing to put a lot of real money into the game, and I would if it got you exciting things, but the fact that the only real way to buy tack for a horse in a horse game is to spend real money, come on people. If you want to play it as a free game be prepared to be bored extremely quickly.
I was so excited for this game as I have followed the development of it for a long time but it’s just nothing like I thought it would be and overall a bit of a disappointment.
Now, I know the game is still in its early stages which I completely understand, and the controls could very well be a work in progress, but everything about the coins does leave a bit of a sour taste in your mouth, even for the future.
