It’s alright

It’s alright. Everything works fine for me but I have seen people on the app complain. Using it on mobile may be stress for some people so if you can’t do whatever on your phone switch to the desktop or laptop and you should be fine.
My real problem with this app is they are missing a lot of socks especially penny stocks (they don’t have any as they don’t support it) l and I have contacted the team before and no response... rude. Also sometimes the app crashes and freezes. Sometimes even logs you off midday for a while... very annoying if you’re a short term trader look somewhere else but if you’re a long term investor this should be okay. Nice layout and decent ppl using it. You can chat with others on the app the layout is similar to twitter. Although if you’re using it on mobile and click on someone’s profile you can’t go back as there isn’t a go back button so you lose where you were or which comment you were reading and have to start from top of the news page etc.
I’m sure they’ll fix these small issues tho. Overall it’s a decent app and I’ll still use but I am looking into having a second app for penny stocks and possibly real crypto as this app only lets you buy the “underlying asset” not own the real thing.

We put a lot of effort into designing a simple and transparent trading platform that is easy to use yet offers the flexibility needed for today's trading needs.

Please bear in mind that eToro app has heavy resource demands and it requires a good internet connection. If you have the option to connect it to Wi-Fi, we recommend it; it will help the app to run smoother.

Also, make sure to have the latest version of the app and if after all of this you still experience issues, please contact our customer service team & always check the desktop version as well.

Security issues.

Overall I think it’s an okay albeit being a little clunky. The security on this app is diabolical. I don’t understand what the purpose of switching on two factor authentication or Face ID is for when during some updates it decides to reboot your settings and then you personally have to realise this and go to settings and switch it back on again. Since the beginning I have found this to be an issue. Please check on your security protocols 🙏

Also, how come you suddenly removed WISE method of depositing cash into my wallet? There was no prior warning or no answers given still by the customer service and it’s been months. It’s just a debit card so what is the big deal? One minute it works and the next it doesn’t. And everyone seems to be passing the Buck without giving a straight answer….. Yet when I haven’t deposited money in awhile, customer service wastes no time to check if I’m alive and why I’ve stopped depositing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Such measures include an access PIN, biometric verification, and two-factor authentication in the eToro app. Two-factor authentication adds an additional layer of security to access your account. This security measure is required after your first deposit.

Poor customer services but nice looking app

I signed up to use this app and went though all my verifications - which took some time (as expected). I then went to deposit funds and it stated that since I was in the USA I couldn’t do so. I am not in the US, nor does my UK address have anything to do with the US.

I contacted customer services by email and received no reply for days. Then did so again, and again. Finally someone came back to me with a standard response of ‘we do not accept deposits from the US’ - clearly not having really read my emails. After more emails I sent a new request to simply delete my account so I can start all over again, but a week later nothing has been done.

All apps and companies have bugs/problems from time to time. Especially when growing. However what you need to know is that when those bugs occur that you have good customer services to back you up. When I’m trusting my money (potentially large amounts) to a company - I want to know there is someone who’s going to help if there’s a problem. No telephone number, no real support on such a basic level. Ive now heard of other people being locked out of accounts etc - something I’d ignore if I’d not had an experience like this. Now debating whether it’s worth the risk and looking for alternatives. I will edit this review if anything changes.
