I’ve only just found this from a link through a Church of England email. I already attend Church and am as active within my local Church as my work commitments and health allow. I use a lot of online tech and although I try to set aside some contemplative time every day, I’m not very good at it. This app is the answer and throughout my journey it has given me time, as I have been listening, to pause and think about something and today’s reflection on ‘darkness’ really called out to me. I am now using the app as a daily devotional and finding it very helpful. If I had a criticism it would be to vary the voices and, as a previous Reviewer has said, lyrics of the hymns and songs would be very helpful too. Other than that - brilliant app - thank you.

This is a great resource for those who have little time in the mornings…getting small children to school: getting to work on time, or just finding life in the morning a struggle because of pain or illness. Spending these few…very few minutes with God before the hurried day begins is well worth it, even if you use the app before you have got out of bed…why not. God will help you catch up the time you spend with Him (or Her) each day. Why not listen as you await the train arriving? Or as you sit in the stationary queue of traffic?

This is a great app with a simple and clean design but it’s not without issues that need fixing quickly before putting people off using it! I started using this CofE app just over a week ago and came across the scrolling issue mentioned by another reviewer on 12th July. Basically when you’re in the “listen” mode you cannot scroll down to the bottom of the text you’re listening to. Then today another issue appeared where the “listen” button takes you to the listening screen but doesn’t play!I’m disappointed that such a good idea for an app that has great potential to help many people with their daily spiritual journey is being hindered by what I’m hoping are just teething issues that will hopefully be easily and promptly fixed.

Tried the app for the first time. The first reading was a psalm and I could not see the last 2 verses clearly because the scrolling mechanism would not allow the text to clear the back-play-forward buttons that sit at the bottom of the screen. There’s a slight gap between the buttons and the bottom of the screen and I had to place the text in that gap in order to try and read the last 2 verses. Also, the last verse only partially cleared the bottom of the screen, so you could only see the top half of the letters. These issues occurred whenever there was too much text to read without scrolling. I didn’t try it but I’m assuming listening to the verses would be the option in these cases. I was surprised that such basic issues were present in a modern app. Maybe it was just my phone.
