Locating an item of clothing and lighting conditions / text on clothes

I think this app is an amazing idea. It has helped me chose clothes more easly. The only thing I struggle with is locating my item of clothing on the camera mode, as the app gives me no audio feedback for where the item of clothing is. For example it would be good when you are on the camera mode, and about to take a picture, for it to say something like. “Item is in centre of screen.” Or “ item at top, bottom left or right.” If the item isn’t visible to say. “Item not visible.” I feel like this would make it more easier to help me navigate the item of clothing i want to see the colour off. And make the app more accurate, effective and quicker to use. As it is a very useful thing to have and is very helpful.

I also think having to have some kind of artificial light is difficult as you may not use light or struggle in bright light. Instead of having some kind of light, would it be possible if the app could use the phones torch or flash in some way to provide enough light for the colour and pattern detector to scan the item of clothing. So you didn’t need another light saws. I feel like this would make the app more effective as you wouldn’t have to rely on the lighting conditions in the room your in. I feel like this would be very helpful as i find this app very useful as i can pick out my clothes more easily.

I love that the app can pick out the patten as well as the colour. Another improvement i would suggest is for the detector to pick up text on a T-Shirt as well as a pattern. As i have a few T-shirts with wording on. I think this would be very helpful as i find the pattern detection very useful when choosing my clothes.
