Update is not working

Following an email conversation with developers, in which I was told the new 2019 Rules are ready, I updated the existing App to v8.0 which includes the option to purchase a licence for 2019. This worked - my money was taken!
Guess what 1:The app now has a Version 2019 tab, but all it does is say “buy now” and then a dialog that says “purchase failed - something went wrong” etc.
Guess what 2: Two emails from me have gone unanswered.
I will pursue a resolution or refund vigorously!
Moral: Don’t buy (yet)

If the app doesn't show the 2019 rules, maybe the connection was lost during the purchase process. You will certainly not be charged twice. Do not buy this

I purchased this after watching video about new rules for 2019 only to find it’s out of date and doesn’t cover the new rules. I emailed for a refund but got no response THEN find out I’ve been charged twice and iTunes say it’s not eligible for a refund!!! No way of contacting them. £20 down the pan for outdated app - Not happy!

2023 update does not currently work

Paid £18 for an update which involves a small number of rule changes.
To make matters worse, the update does not work currently. Not a good start!! I would expect better.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our app. You are correct that only a small number of changes were introduced with the 2023 rules revision. However, the entire app still needs to be reworked when it is updated. Furthermore, the rule change regarding taking a drop "back on the line", has required all animated graphics to be reprogrammed. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a lifetime service with a one-time payment. Our app currently costs about as much as a golf ball annually, which we don't consider overpriced. In return, you are guaranteed to always have access to up-to-date content and to be able to quickly and safely clarify rules questions on the course.
When updating the app via in-app purchase, you should have received access to the latest version including all the changes which came into force on January 1, 2023. Should your app, for any reason, have not been automatically updated, please contact our support team at support@expertgolf.com. I am positive that they will be able to sort out the problem very quickly. Please note that the App Store unfortunately doesn’t allow us to contact you directly.
