We have made the onboarding smoother.
Give your eyes the break they're begging for.
Staring at screens all day leaves your eyes dry, tired, red, and strained. Eyecare 20 20 20 fixes that with one gentle reminder every 20 minutes — and now it can run on its own, so you never have to remember to start it.
It's built on the doctor-recommended 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. That tiny habit relaxes your eye muscles, reduces digital eye strain, and helps prevent the dryness and redness that come from long screen time.
Set it once, then forget it.
Tell Eyecare your working hours — for example, weekdays from 8 to 4 — and the app starts and stops your reminders automatically on those days. No tapping, no thinking about it. Your eye breaks just happen while you work.
Prefer a nudge instead? Set a fixed daily reminder and the app will tell you when it's time to start, so the habit sticks even on your busiest days.
Three ways to use it — pick what fits you:
* Manual — Tap Start when you begin, tap Stop when you're done.
* Auto-schedule — Choose your days and hours (like weekdays 8–4) and reminders run automatically.
* Daily start reminder — Get a nudge at a fixed time to begin your session.
Dead simple. Zero learning curve.
No accounts. No complicated settings. Whether you run it by hand or let it run itself, Eyecare quietly works in the background while you do.
Why you'll love it
Automatic eye break reminders every 20 minutes
Auto-run on your chosen days and hours — set it and forget it
Daily reminder to start your session on time
Based on the proven 20-20-20 eye care rule
One-tap start and stop
Lightweight and runs quietly in the background
Perfect for anyone who works, studies, games, or scrolls on screens
If you spend hours in front of a computer, phone, or tablet, your eyes are working overtime. Eyecare 20 20 20 gives them the regular rest they need to stay comfortable, clear, and healthy.

Edited again: Well, I couldn’t find a better app, so having tried a few others I’m back. Now 5 stars, for the best productivity app available at a cheaper monthly price than most. I still don’t like paying monthly though 😆 I’ve been using the app for ages and recommended it to so many people, but since the upgrade my paid premium version has disappeared. Is there any way to get this back?(Edited: I completely understand the developer’s response below - I don’t do monthly payments for apps at the moment, and would rather pay a one off fee, so I’ll move on for now. A good app for those who are happy to pay monthly though.)

Hi,We can offer you a month of current premium for free as it is the same price ,$1.99, but since we need to maintain servers we cannot afford to offer this as a one time payment. The free plan is there with limited features though.
Great idea

I got this app as I started getting ocular migraines, and heavy screen time at work seemed to be a trigger. This app is pretty basic, but a really good idea. I’m only using the free version but it’s working well to remind me to take screen breaks. I like the notifications, and they come through on to my Garmin watch which is brilliant. A couple of glitches I have noticed in the first day of use: I had it set to only notify during working hours, but it’s notifying me all the time, it’s currently 7pm and notifications should have stopped a couple of hours ago. Also, I have found the app a bit glitchy, a few times when I’ve logged in to look at it the app just hangs on the loading screen and won’t go further. I’ve had to force close and reopen the app to get it to finish loading.Overall though, I think this is a great app, and I will consider trialling the paid version at some point.

Hi, thank you for your review. Please update your app as we have fixed these bugs. If you still have the same issue please logout and log back in. That should fix it too.
Great for gaming

I use this to remind me to take a break from playing on my PlayStation at regular intervals. I have noticed than since using this app, playing for 20 mins, then looking away at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds, really does prevent headaches and/or stop my eyes from getting too tired. So easy to use. I paid the extra £1.99 for the premium version, which allows me to change times, sounds and schedules. Recommended for adults and children who like to play computer games for extended periods of time.
Simple and useful

I need a timer to remember stretches for my back and shoulders, I paid the small additional fee to adjust the time in between breaks and now I’m good to go. Without the app I keep forgetting to stop every 25 minutes to stretch so it’s been very useful. Good reminder to rest my eyes too!
