Wouldn’t even bother downloading, just access through the normal app

If I didn’t have to give a star to actually leave a review I wouldn’t. Since the latest update for the app one of the nine pages I am in charge of suddenly lost its home timeline and was only showing messages with the option to go to the timeline through the normal Facebook app. I thought at first this was an issue on my end and messaged the help Center only to be ignored (though some have mentioned not getting notifications so wonder if Facebook are having the same problem lol). Turns out from reviews here that this is actually the Pages app’s not so ingenious update. Since the update another four of my pages have gone to this set up. It’s absolutely dreadful, I thought the original idea of the Pages app was to keep your normal Facebook and your pages separate, it would now seem that this is no longer the case. Please please please go back to how it was, where I could nip into the Pages app, write my post and then post it, instead of having to jump through hoops and change apps. If this isn’t rectified I for one will definitely just be deleting the Pages app and just use the normal Facebook app!

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

UPDATE! When are you going to change it back? I’ve lost money due to people trying to contact me and me not getting the notifications. I can’t post except through my own fb page. This needs to be put back as it was. I’m not really sure what’s taking you so long????

I use this app to run 8 business pages. I now can’t run any. I don’t want to go straight to the messages section where you’re trying to get me to pay for more messages! Why would I want to do that? I can’t post anymore on my own page, instead having to go through Facebook to use this app which is ridiculous. You’ve made it unusable and redundant. I saw an update this morning and was excited thinking you’ve realised your mistake and it was just a glitch and the new update would fix it.....but no. Still crap. This is a valuable tool for businesses as you can tell by the backlash you’ve received. I’m horrified no one has bothered to comment why this is happening and what you’re doing about it. Stop changing stuff, stick with what works. Change it back or face losing thousands of app users.

Notifications time drain

Since recent update it expects to to click on every single notification in order to dismiss the red badge saying how many you’ve got. Used to be you only needed to do that for comments or things which demanded some interaction. All the other ones you could review at a glance via the notification centre and that would dismiss them on the badge count. I’ve no time for this so I’m just going to let that badge keep on adding up and turn off the iOS badge notifications so they don’t show on the app icon. Far from ideal.

Also, unlike the Facebook app, you can’t turn off sounds for things like receiving messages. So if I’m in public and using the app I have to remember to turn my volume down, and then back up again afterwards if I don’t want to be imposing my activity on the people around me. One thing I loathe in software, and I see the big companies doing it all the time as they feel they can impose their wishes on their customers, is when it decides such behaviour for me. Another example is how Fb pressure you to turn notifications on. ‘Please do this’ is how they repeatedly put it. Deeply unpleasant.
