Fixed! New update fixed the issue

Old review:
I have used Feedly for several years. I organised my feeds into folders and was able to select individual sources within. Some sources I only want to glance at, others I want to read the whole way through.
I woke up to an update that makes selecting these individual sources a real chore. I can only see the folders with all the sources mixed together. The only way to now access them is to 'manage sources'. This makes the app no longer worthwhile to me. Unfortunately, I will have to look for an alternative app.

Developer Response ,

Hello, can you please update to the latest version of the app? It is fixed there.

Back to Classic for me

...at least it was a soon as I realised that still existed. Two infuriating aspects of this app, one probably a choice and one bug. It’s not possible to mark a page of posts as read with a single swipe, which makes it sooooooo laborious to review them. The semi-paginated, semi-scrolling interaction doesn’t really work and it certainly doesn’t help if it is what’s preventing marking a whole page as read. And secondly, opening in Firefox was already hard work because it seems impossible to set it as the default browser. It required opening an article preview, tapping “iOS sharing”, choosing Firefox, and selecting “open with Firefox”. But in this app the latter option is missing. It only shows a partial URL and the option to search in FF. Only by loading the full article in the internal browser can I get to those options. Removing one or more of these steps would make things so much smoother.
Feedly is still great, but not in this app.

Fav RSS reader but one hold-back

As a heavy daily user of Feedly “Classic” I’d love to switch to the new version to stay with the updates - and it’s a very useful, pretty, functional app and the previews seem to be improved (no more clicking boxes of content to unhide paragraphs)
BUT! Since it has moved from pages to scrolling individual items, you can no longer mark a page as read
I use RSS to skim through hundreds of items a day, marking as read and keeping the odd item unread page-by-page. The new option only allows you to mark everything above/below as read, or mark as read one item at a time vs five at a time
This adds so much time that I just stick to classic. Would love this functionality to return from Classic so that I can swap to using this!
PS: the dark mode is also very pretty - why does it not auto-switch depending on the device settings??
