Lots of potential

This BR with a minor twist in that it introduces some magic, but has the potential to explore the FF7 world much more.

After playing it for about a week or so, I’ve found the world is all a bit too similar. It all looks the same. And the then you start to look at the shop or other game modes and you realise that there isn’t really any depth there yet compared to other BR games like CoD or even SuperMechChampion.

And that’s the problem, the devs have tapped into a really interesting premise but depth wise it’s not really fulfilling the FFVII legacy yet . Game play is good, nice mix of materia enhancements to supplement regular weapons. The regular weapons are maybe a bit limited (again, see point above). The sporadic monsters are a bit of a nuisance more than anything, where it feels like an element of the original game shoehorned in. One major let down is the summoning of demons. A) super super rare and B) unlike the original FFVII game play, it’s utterly underwhelming. Could be so much more.

I’ve enjoyed playing it thus far and you will too, but after a week or two there’s not enough here to keep it going. Unless the devs return to it with some updates. Fingers crossed because as a crossover into BR style game the original has lots of material to offer to make this format utterly unique.

Good BR

Gotta say I’m new to the game and I’ve very much been enjoying it.

Don’t be put off from dying when your first learning the game. Keep persevering and you’ll make steady progress. I just made it to the final 3 and I was pretty happy with my progress.

The only negative I’ll say about this game is that most items on the season pass are locked behind a paywall. But they are purely cosmetic so not the end of the world. Overall very fun game. Pro tip if you wanna make the most of the game link up a PS4 controller.

Good game need work

Good little game on paper a mix of BR with RPG elements my complaint is the melee attacks sometimes you hit an enemy and they go flying off you’re facing the other way and turning the camera round to see them is a bit of a nightmare I think some kind of a lock on would help only for melee combat not for shooting would also like to spend the Gil I get on skins and what not if your a fan of ff7 it’s a good game to get but needs improvement to make it a great game it’s has lots of potential and 60fps would be good too and cameos from the main game would be good as bosses like when pudg did that resident evil cross over when they had tyrants in it but with jenova or weapon that would be really cool lol considering it’s the first version it’s a really good effort just needs improving here and there definitely worth a go I’m gonna be playing it for the next couple of days see where I go from there
