When I first installed the app. Got some getting useto but once used. Got the hang of it. Worked very well. But for the past two days. Doesn’t want to connect. And nothing on Fibaro about any updates or glitches in the app. Very frustrating when I was actually using this app more than the Fibaro for iPad app.

Fibaro was a promising system in 2015, however it got worse as they tried to expand their range and capabilities rapidly and beyond heir ability. The system became unreliable and I avoided upgrades for fear of what would go wrong next.

Following the brand’s sale, the convoluted mess of what they had developed and spreading themselves way too thinly plus their programming trajectory resulted in what I have come to accept as a flawed ecosystem engulfed in confusing systems, logins, and documentation.

The old fibaro app was simple and lacked many obvious functions but at 2.5 stars it Scores higher than this disaster. They’ve now rendered the old app useless and their support as good as said that this week. This new app is worse, less clear, less useful more frustrating. I strongly believe that fibaro were overtaken some time ago and won’t reclaim the advantage I once believed they had.

The layout is very good when you get used to the changes, but there are still several very important features missing such as a true event history. This is vital when looking at door / window sensors and irrigation / heating systems. The last changed info has a resolution of a minute whereas the old version was in seconds. Also historic power measurement seems to be missing.
Also non of my scenes show up and I still can’t register my location so any geo scene I assume will not work.

I’m not sure device feedback is used properly, I.e. if I turn on a plug and it does not switch on, in the main desktop programme it tells me the transfer failed, in the old app the switch icon reverts to off but in the new app the icon tells me everything is ok!

We are still left with a three part system. 1) The main desktop version where you can add devices and build scenes etc. 2) the old app which has great functionality and 3) the new app which is a pretty and fast but a fairly useless add on.

Please consider a unified approach to make our lives easier!
