FileZilla Pro is a fast and reliable FTP, FTPS, SFTP, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Box, Dropbox, Google Cloud Storage, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Azure Storage, OpenStack Swift (using Keystone v2) and WebDAV client with lots of useful features. FileZilla Pro comes with an intuitive tabbed user interface and is available in more than 50 languages.

You can use the Site Manager to organize your sites and bookmarks. FileZilla Pro lets you synchronize the Site Manager data securely so that you can access your stored sites from all your machines. Your credentials are stored securely, protected by strong cryptography.

Use powerful tools to quickly and easily navigate the server and locate your files: Directory listing filters hide irrelevant files from view. Compare local and remote directories and highlight the difference. Change both local and remote directories in lockstep. Or just use the the search dialog to find your files.

The transfer queue lets you manage your transfers, even if you queue millions of files. The size of your files does not matter, FileZilla Pro knows no size limit. Use drag&drop or the context menu to queue files. You can also directly transfer and open remote files in your favorite editor.

Configurable speed limits let you throttle FileZilla Pro if you need bandwidth for other purposes.

FileZilla Pro is ready for the Internet of the future with complete IPv6 support. Compatible with HTTP/1.1, SOCKS5 and FTP proxies.

The network configuration wizard guides you through configuring not just FileZilla Pro but also any firewall or NAT router you are using.

Best FTP client to date

FileZilla Pro is simply the only FTP solution one needs. It’s fast, reliable and does everything you need.

I have read some of the reviews posted on the AppStore and the problems listed are cured with a bit of forethought with respect to subscriptions etc.

What you have to understand is Apple force developers to go down the subscription route as it’s their preferred model and developers have to fall into line but here’s an idea for all those who are moaning about it. Why not navigate to the Filezilla website and download the free version that has no time restrictions. I have been using it for years and then decided it was worth upgrading as I needed the Cloud features. It’s a pitty that Apple refuse to allow access to iCloud via any means other than the really slow methods they employ and its a shame. To be able to upload files to iCloud as fast as I do to my own website and other Cloud based platforms would be great. No critisism to the developers, this is on Apple’s shoulders.

Dark Mode would be cool for those who want it but operationally Zilezilla as an app is faultless, well done guys.

The best FTP client I know

Been using Filezilla on Windows and Linux for many years, as a recent Mac user I'm glad that I dont have to find an alternative for it. Like people in other reviews said, dark mode is really well due. I love how I can set different background colors at the middle for different servers, would look awesome with a dark theme.

Dark Mode is now available by default in FileZilla Pro. Make sure that under System Preferences > General > Appearance is set to either Dark or Auto.

used to be great

App becomes unresponsive while doing an averge WordPress website upload. It does work in the background but completely hangs. Been going on for about a year and now I am looking for a new FTP client sadly.

UPDATE FOR DEVELOPER:

I do NOT use a hackitosh machine and slightly annoyed that you have accused me of it. I own 4 macs and am a developer so don't have time for messing around with PCS. The machine I am using this on is my oldest. It does not throw errors just slows down and stops updating the UI and shows the Beachball like application is not using multiple threads.

[UPDATED on the 31th of October 2022] Thanks for clarifying your situation. FileZilla Pro does use multiple threads for transferring files, unfortunately what prevents the displaying threads to update the UI is that MacOS text rendering is slow. Consider hiding the message log or transfer less files in parallel. Upgrading to a faster machine might help too, though. Hope that helps.
