Could be Great but Isn't

This app has some serious problems for use on anything smaller than an iPad.

There is a menu on the left and also sliding bars at the bottom of the screen. These leave very little room to manipulate your image and you find yourself constantly triggering them in error.

The controls are not finger friendly at all. Incredibly frustrating to spend a long time editing an image only to accidentally trigger the side menu which automatically wipes all your work. A back button would be far better than this swipe. There just isn't space for it.

There is no undo feature in this app. May not sound much but if you make a mistake with the fiddly crosshairs control you have to start again.

It's a real shame that the controls aren't as good as other apps because this would otherwise be better.

Do not buy on iPhone.

Terrible downgrade from the classic edition

Filterstorm classic was a perfect photo editor to use in your iPhone and iPad. It did everything you wanted and was very user friendly. This app promises to be faster but compromises on precision. The app is indeed faster, menus are tidier and transition between section is seamless. The sliding menu on the left often gets in the way of the editing, crosshairs and pointers gets covered by the menu and it’s a pain to gain access to them again, leading to mistakes and errors.

There’s is no undo function. There is a timeline function which just is confusing and doesn’t work (in the classic edition the same very function was very effective and easy to use).

The worst downgrade of them all is the clone option: the crosshairs is finicky and glitchy (moves all over the place), there’s only two brushes options (down from the three of the previous edition : size doesn’t give the same freedom it gave before. The sizes are basically gigantic or medium, no scope for precision with a small brush size here. Opacity does a decent work at harsh or soft coverage but it’s simply not as accurate as it used to be. The softness option is gone which is stupid: it was a very classy touch to be able to decide what degree of coverage you wanted before.

What happened? The classic edition is perfect but I had to sway since after iOS 11 it doesn’t work anymore. Picture taken on the day don’t load, which is a common glitch with apps developed for previous versions of the software. I upgraded hoping to find a new better and improved version of the software but this just won’t do. I spent a whopping 8 pounds on the classic edition: fix that or fix this version of the software, this is so appalling and a letdown so far.
Terrible service.
