Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire 12+

Clearly p2w. Every time you open the game, a BUY STUFF thing is thrown in your face. Without fail. Sometimes you can’t even close it for a few seconds. And it’s game packs are priced so that if you buy the cheaper packs, you can ONLY buy £100 packs. Most people can’t afford to drop that in one go on a mobile game. Meanwhile some other players have very deep pockets which makes it very unfair to us players who are actually working hard and playing the game - putting in the effort. Despite this, I do still have fun and have a really close bond with my guild.
There are in game things only unlockable via purchase. More and more of these things are appearing and you can only get them with packs. Of course the packs still have the aforementioned pricing structure so earlier players and players who didn’t know about these other features are basically penalised which is really rubbish. :(

The game starts out fun, you might even be lulled into a false idea that you can play this game for free. Please be warned that you categorically can NOT maintain your empire on a level playing field with others unless you chuck 100s even 1000s into the game. Packs start our reasonably priced & you may be tempted to part with 4.99.. but you will soon find yourself with packs priced at £99 a pop! If you do try and free play then be prepared to invest up to 12 hours of your day every day and still not manage to hit tier without a pack purchase. Events are now based on spending money to get the best results.. and when events are here the prizes are barely worth a moment of your time let alone hours! Then you have their customer service.. which is by far the most appalling you may ever encounter. Generic canned responses that don’t answer your query, a real lack of will to help you, a different agent for each reply with no real logic in response or an actual resolution. You feel a piece of your soul die with every email response you get from them. The only 1 positive in this game is your guild mates. Although I am significantly poorer, If it wasn’t for them I’d have quit a long time ago!!

This is a great game! It’s just ruined by a greedy developer. There are, (when I stopped playing) 3 extra heroes you can unlock, each of which were £100, the extra buildings of which I think there were 6, also £100 each. They even wanted to charge £100 for an overview map!! They run realm versus realm competitions about once every 3 weeks or so, to teleport to another realm requires a ticket... Yup, £100 per ticket.

This is pay to play at its extreme, if you do not pay in the region of £2000 (for the buildings, heroes, plus you will need to purchase resources once past level 25) you simply cannot compete and will be farmed for your resources and heroes (which can be banished to give the big boys further bonuses (like they need them!)). There is no mechanism in place to make it difficult for a multi-million power player to walk all over a citadel that has taken weeks and months to build and reduce your forces to zero in less than 15 minutes.

The problem is that while there are people willing to pay this sort of money to play a game, the developers are just going to keep charging the money.
