Happy
So far I am so pleased with this app. For 15 years I have been using Windows computers and i got very well at handling them. Switching to IOS has me most of the time frustrated. I have some movies on Windows that I have transfered to IOS and wanted to play the movie but no .... that was mission impossible. So I ve found this app, which is free (many thanks) and it works very well.
I still don't know if there is a way to find subtitles but even if there isn't, I am fine with it as long as I can play my movies.

So far very good, but with a few silly flaws.
So far this little app has played every video I have thrown at it, including several files that QuickTime can't play. For that I'd like to rate it five stars, but unfortunately the quirks it has mean I feel it needs revision before it warrants all five.
Since I have been using Quicktime for many years I have a number of habits from that player and others like old versions of VLC etc. All of them tend to use the same keys for pause, full screen etc. Yet FInal Video Player uses different keypresses for the same functions. Sorry, but that's a very bad idea. When there's a standard way of doing things it really doesn't make sense to break with it unless there is a very good reason, and here I don't see one. Fix the quirky keypress choices to match those used by almost every other video player on the Mac and this would be perfect.
Quicktime player wouldn't play AVI file
I wanted to view my dash cam footage and quicktime player wasn't compatable with the avi files down loaded Final Video player and it works great. I also choose Final Video as I didn't want something that offered in app purchaes as I find you end up with a product which has a limited time use before you have top pay for the premium packages. So far so good.
