Description
Fine Tuner is a light-weight, minimalistic tuner with a user interface optimized for guitar, bass, violin, ukulele, banjo and other string instruments. It utilizes your device's built-in microphone. The app includes dozens of guitar tunings as well as several tunings for a variety of other instruments. Fine Tuner also has the ability to tune to a custom note and can be used to tune almost any instrument.
The free version of the app includes standard guitar, drop d, and double drop d tunings.

Simple to use, big range
This is really simple to use and has a big range of octaves - essential if you are tuning an instrument with more than four strings like the lap harp I have. There are pre-sets for different tunings of certain instruments, but what would make this even better is if you could make your own custom tuning - 22 strings with a pentatonic tuning would be a lot easier if I could create the set sequence. Other than that it’s brilliant
The overtune trick
A neat trick with this app is to overtune by 1 or 2 HZees and then pull the string (away from the keyboard) to stretch out the extra HZ. Once pulled back it will stay in tune for longer.
Works well for me on the standard EADGBE tuning. As a feature suggestion it might be good to have it guess which string you are trying to tune.
Amazing purchase
I’m so glad I paid for the pro version because it’s really easy to use and it has loads of different tunings. I just wish it had a metronome as well but I am still very happy with my purchase.
