Ok, needs work.

There are some classic titles here and £3 for everything including the IAP games is not a bad purchase.

Unfortunately the emulator needs work, the joystick is not great, you push left and it swings right on Thinderbirds, you also have to use the keyboard on a lot of the games and by bringing this up it cuts a large section of the screen out so you can't see what you're doing in the game.

Hopefully there will be an update for this at some point.

The wild bunch

First off I bought this app purely for the game the wild bunch I remember playing it as a child in the 80s and having lots of fun.
Pros apart from nostalgia none cons you can’t win at poker the banker always wins you arrest somebody it’s always the wrong person and you get fined you shoot them and your locked up for murder. You never have enough money to buy provisions to get from a to b when you are going from one town to the next you can never bribe or run you always have to fight so you have no energy when you get there also if you find any golden nuggets on the way you always get robbed and if you do get to another town by some miracle then somebody is there waiting to arrest you. Either I was really good at this game as a child or this version is impossible apart from the feel of the game and the memories it brought back waste of time one star only just for nostalgia

Not perfect but good value overall

Firstly a quick note to MeikleDA - to restore in-app purchases just tap on Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Restore In-App Purchases. I haven’t had any problem with them, but sometimes this is necessary for any in-app purchases on iOS, especially if you’ve installed the app to a new device.

As to the app, it is what you would expect - a collection of games ranging from awful to great, all of which is subjective to whether you loathed or loved a particular game when you were a kid. If you didn’t like any of these at the time then 30+ years later they aren’t going to become any more fun!

The app itself works well, but unfortunately any Speccy games on iOS will be severely hampered by the touch screen controls. Simpler games obviously fare much better here, but ultimately if you want perfect controls then you’d better stick to the rubber keyed wonder and a ZipStick.

For me it is well worth the paltry £4 (including in-app purchases) to get a large bundle of games that I can dip into on the go, even if realistically I’ll only stick to playing a few of them.
