Description

Firewalla is a vital security addition to every home and small business with network and IoT devices.

Imagine yourself settling in for a nice, quiet evening. You go to check on the sleeping baby and out of the corner of your eye you catch the baby camera turn towards you...somebody else is watching. Hackers are like a burglar constantly checking all your doors and windows looking for a way to sneak in.

Firewalla can help you to secure and manage your personal network, discover vulnerable IoT devices. Firewalla has the ability to discover devices that are open and can be infected (or already) by the Mirai virus.

Security Scanning

1. Inside scan, find all the devices that may be infected with Mirai virus or can be infected with it.
2. Outside scan, search for ports that are open from the Internet side.

This app will also control the Firewalla Box.

Richard E ,

Impressive units, easily managed

I contributed to the Firewalla Blue project and have had a Blue for some time. It’s extremely easy and intuitive to use, so I got a Gold when it became available. I am extremely impressed by its performance as a router as well as the familiar Firewalla security benefits. Highly recommended.

Why should I need a Nickname? ,

Only works in portrait mode

The web interface is very limited, the iPhone is far too small a device to administer a network from. I had hoped that the iPad app on an iPad Pro with a keyboard would elevate the Firewalla Gold Plus from the toy to the useful category. Unfortunately this app only works in portrait mode so you can’t use an attached keyboard cover with the iPad Pro! Come on guys, this is basic stuff. The Firewalla is pitched at the high end of the home/office router market. While the actual firewall is brilliant the lack of a decent web interface and a decent useable iPad app for those of us with a hundred or more attached devices to administer really lets the whole package down.

It’s cool but...

Backed this in Kickstarter, so been using this for quite a while now. After all this time I feel it’s time for feedback. Firstly, please fix the app icon badges. These can show I have over 5000 alerts, and loading the app there’s 3 alerts to look at. Second, please add the port on the alert list to save having to open the alert and see it’s something obvious and can be blocked straight away without having to open the alert. Third is to add an option to auto hide alerts that are going to be archived anyway, or to archive alerts that “archive” is the only option when reviewing. Other than that I find it great I can protect my home network and traffic 👍🏼
