Description

In English! All Flags of Countries in the World. How Many Flags Do You Know?

How many flags do you know? Can you guess the Japanese flag? Do you remember the order of colors on the Irish flag? This free educational application will refresh your memory of national flags and you will learn beautiful flags of such exotic countries as Sri Lanka or Grenada.

Why do I prefer this quiz to many other apps about flags?
Because it has all flags of all 197 sovereign countries around the world and 48 dependent territories and constituent countries! It is extremely user-friendly. You will always get a hint about whether you're right or wrong. Thus, you will never get stuck by a question for which you don't know the answer.

Now you can learn flags separately for each continent: from Europe and Asia to Africa and South America.
The flags are divided into several levels:
1) Well-known flags (Level 1) - Canada, France, South Korea, and so on.
2) Flags that are harder to identify (Level 2) - Fiji, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, and other world countries.
3) Dependent territories and constituent countries (Level 3) - Scotland, Hong Kong, British Virgin Islands, etc.
4) The fourth option is to play with all 245 flags.
5) Capitals: for the given flag, guess the capital of the corresponding country: for example, if the flag of Hungary is shown, the correct answer is Budapest. Capitals are divided by continent.
6) Maps and Flags: choose the correct flag for the country highlighted on the world map.

Start with two learning options:
* Flashcards - browse all flags in the app without guessing; you can indicate what flags you don’t know well and want to repeat in the future.
* Table of all flags, capitals, and countries.
Then you can test your knowledge by competing in the game mode you like:
* Spelling quizzes (the easy one with hints after each selected letter, and the hard one where you have to spell the whole word correctly).
* Multiple-choice questions (with 4 or 6 answer options) - can you find the state flag of your country? But it’s important to remember that you have only 3 lives.
* Drag and Drop: match 4 flags and 4 country names.
* Time game (give as many correct answers as you can in 1 minute).
You should answer all questions in each level and give 25 correct answers in Time Game to get all stars and complete the game.

The app is translated into 30 languages, including English, German, French and many others. So you can learn the names of the countries and their capital cities in any foreign language.
Advertisements can be removed by an in-app purchase.

This is an excellent and fun game for all students of world geography. Or are you a sports fan who needs help to recognise the flags of national teams? Find the National Flag of Your State!

Great way to learn, despite some inaccuracies

I have learned country flags quickly using this app. I prefer it to other similar apps that have "lives"; with this app I'm not limited in how long I can learn each day.
I have discovered some information could use updating, such as the capital of Burundi.
I'd love to see an update including provincial/state flags.

Such a varied way to learn

I paid straight away for the ad free version. It was only £1.80 or something like that. I already had quite a good grasp of countries and capitals of the world but I wanted to learn flags. This is such a good app I am so glad I found it. There are just so many different ways to learn and to reinforce the learning. That is what makes it so good because you don’t lose interest and you have many different ways to learn using all the quizzes/games for each section. You can learn and test your knowledge without getting bored. I started off with South America because there aren’t many countries there and then I moved on to Africa. At first I thought it would take ages but just a couple of hours of playing around with the different games/quiz and I could answer mOst of them quickly. I am going to move on to Europe next. I like the fact that it’s not timed (although there are some games that give you one minute to identify the flags/countries). It is very very good indeed and I wish we had the Internet when I was at school as it would’ve made learning a lot quicker and easier!

The perfect app

Alas, my life has not been what I had hoped. It was always the same: I would be at a party talking to a beautiful woman, things would be going well and then BANG! The topic of flags would come up, and panic would ensue.

I used to lie about the proficiency of my flag knowledge, pretending to know my Bhutan’s from my Brunei’s, however I was always found out, and the women would laugh and walk away. The irony of being exposed by the British Virgin Islands flag is not lost on me.

Last week, I saw an African man carrying a pride flag, and I called out to him “Respect! It is OK to be gay!” He immediately became hostile and threatened to cause me serious physical damage. Turns out he was from Mauritius, and once again my lack of flag knowledge had come back to bite me. It was on that day I decided to make a change.

Once and for all, I would learn about every flag this world has to offer, but I needed the perfect app. ‘Flags of the World’ made learning easy, and has helped me develop into the stud I am today. No longer do I feel embarrassed, and my confidence has risen like the mighty red sun of the Malawi flag. I am reborn, and I owe it all to ‘Flags of the World”.
