Description
Flexible work requires a Flexy solution.
Flexy is your go-to hub for flexible work management; created to give you a simple way to manage your assignment. From onboarding, accepting your assignment or selecting your upcoming shifts through to submitting your timesheets, the Flexy app ensures that all of your temporary work requirements are accessible in one place.
Getting set up:
Flexy is free to use, but before you can be allocated to your assignment and begin submitting timesheets, you will need to complete all onboarding documentation and book a short appointment with our friendly team to have your right to work in the UK verified.
• UK law states that we must verify your right to work, this is done in a meeting which takes about 5 minutes and will be conducted virtually or in person (dependant on what proof of right to work you hold).
• We are highly committed to driving inclusion in the workplace so if you require any adjustments to support you during the application process, please let us know.
When you first register on the Flexy app, you will be guided to the relevant section, which must be fully completed to progress. Remember to keep your notifications turned on to receive updates on the progress of your onboarding.
Using the app:
Once you’re fully up and running on the Flexy app, you can book your upcoming shifts for the week ahead or see the details of your confirmed work assignment. Some of our clients might require you to organise your work with the hiring team as per usual, we’ll let you know during onboarding if this is the case.
• Working shifts?
When you arrive for your shift, simply check-in on your phone to confirm you’re in the right place at the right time. When you finish, check-out and submit your timesheet through the app. Flexy then processes your timesheets to ensure you get paid quickly and securely whilst paying the right amount of tax. Payment is processed every week, two weeks in arrears.
• Working a long term assignment?
You can submit your timesheets daily or at the end of a week. When you’ve submitted your timesheet, they’ll be sent for approval before Flexy process your timesheets to ensure you get paid quickly and securely. Payment is processed every week, one week in arrears.

Great pay, but app needs work
Positives: great pay and shifts when they’re available, I’ve recommended the app to my friends who are now currently wait listed for interview.
Issues 1) Historically on the home screen I’d see a number indicating how many available shifts there were to apply for. If I saw “0”, I’d know nothing available at the moment. Since the latest update, it says “click to see available shifts” ...no number. If the update was to improve Ux, why add an unnecessary new step which triggers constant checking of the app just in case the app notifications aren’t working properly, this can frustrating if you’ve had no reception for a little while, or in situations where you are instructed to keep your phone off /turn off notifications for a period.
2) I agree about it being buggy - it sporadically logs you out, even if the app has been open in the background.
3) holiday pay - another user (dated 24Jun The Hydrated Gojiberry), explained this better than I could.
Unreliable
I signed up recently with view to work with Flexy long term. I had quite a few issues with the app - it crashes most of the time I try to open, user experience is quite bad because of other glitches but I was seeing shifts being posted and I was approved for quite a few. However, barely any of the jobs I was approved for actually had any shifts posted. But most of all, the problem with this agency is that they don’t protect workers from late cancellations. Meaning that a Hirer can cancel your shift in very short notice and you won’t get paid or be able to find other work. The policy inhibits a culture of unreliability and is altogether unfair to workers as they are punished if cancelling a shift late. My first two shifts were cancelled last minute. For this reason I’ve decided to give up the agency. I would give them a chance again when the sort out their ways
Wonderful company
I have been with Flexy since July 2018 and have found my perfect job with them. Sharon has helped and advised me every step from day one. I’m not always the best with technology but Sharon has called me and talked me through things and offered me a lot of support. She is a big asset to the flexy company. Working With flexy has made me take control of my career as the ease of submitting my time sheets is fantastic and knowing my wages will be correct if I need to do over time/adhoc is a big bonus. In the past I have had to wait along time for this pay to be put through the system. I would like to thank flexy for helping me find my perfect job and a massive thank you to Sharon for all her ongoing support. I know I can always call or email and someone is gonna be there to help.
