If I could give this app a zero I would. I spent minutes of my life (not that long, but I’ll never get them back) downloading it and registering on it because I wanted to arrange for a pest control officer to visit.
Flintshire County Council’s website said I could either “submit an online enquiry, alternatively download the Flintshire App!” (the exclamation mark led me to expect something spectacular - I was about to be disappointed). I’ve had bad experiences with online enquiries to Flintshire in the past so decided to try the app.
After downloading the app I negotiated to the pest control page which advised me to phone the Streetscene office (it didn’t even offer an online form to contact them with). Now I’m stressed out as well as worried about mice and no further forward as it’s Saturday and, guess what, no answer when I phone.
Flintshire County Council should be ashamed of themselves wasting money on this when vulnerable people are struggling to get support from Social Services and children’s schools are short of resources. I’m not normally one to complain about council tax rises, but 8.6%. Really? Not value for money if this is what we’re getting for it.
Has a simple but fundamental bug which renders the app completely unusable for the purpose of reporting potholes and highway defects (the only reason I downloaded it). Reported the bug more than a week ago, still no fix. I pay my tax to Flintshire council, and object to having some of it spent on a terrible app by a developer who gets it wrong and apparently doesn’t care about putting it right.
At least make it usable
If you’re going to be all 21st Century, at least make the app usable, went to report a faulty street light, clicked all the way through the Early Learning buttons, to be told there’s a map so you can easily pick the light that is faulty, unfortunately, from my phone so is that link
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
