Florence is an interactive storybook from the award-winning lead designer of Monument Valley about the heart-racing highs and heartbreaking lows of a young woman's very first love.
Florence Yeoh feels a little... stuck. Her life is an endless routine of work, sleep, and spending too much time on social media. Then one day, she meets a cello player named Krish who changes everything about how she sees the world and herself.
Experience every beat of Florence and Krish's relationship through a series of mini-game vignettes - from flirting to fighting, from helping each other grow... to growing apart. Drawing inspiration from 'slice of life' graphic novels and webcomics, Florence is an intimate and unforgettable story.

Whilst I erred over the purchase button, as you are now, my first thought was whether or not this ‘game’ (I leave ‘game’ in this format due to its lack of game like features, I would sooner label it an interactive story, perhaps a visual novel is a good example.) would last long enough to validate my purchase. It was not. However, its other features more than made up for this. Several moments in the experience I actually would call good game design. (for example the scene where as Florence finds talking to Krish easier, the puzzles involved with speech also become easier.) This is worth your three quid if you are interested in a short emotionally resonant story, enjoy any kind of animation, or have ten to fifteen minutes to spare.
I played this just after midnight as I got into bed, and put my earphones in just like the app recommends. I honestly felt like I was completely immersed in this story, it was beautiful! It hooked me in right away. The artwork, the music, the storytelling, literally everything worked so well together and made it so worthwhile. I related to Florence a lot, and found myself reacting to the situations to try and keep her happy. Or to try and make choices that I though would be the best for her in the long run. A couple of the interactions really took me a good bit to finish, I was thinking about them that much! It’s a rather short comic, only around 15-20 minutes in total it took for me, but there’s so much in there, and you get much more out of it! I highly recommend everyone should at least try this game. If interactive comics and the likes interest you, please play this. Thank you for this, It’s beautiful. 💕
Very artistic yet very short
The game is really good. The overall atmosphere is very relaxing and touching. The sound tracks are AMAZING. I personally wouldn’t mind even paying the price for just listening to the sound track. However, I still find the game mechanics a bit “silly” sometimes and the game itself is very short, but I expected it to be even before buying so I wasn’t disappointed as much as others. It’s just with this kind of game “no talking, relaxing, ... “ it’s all about the experience and it can’t go on for too long because it would be honestly boring, so I understand why the developers chose to make it such a short game.
