What’s New

Version 3.5.2

Major Update: App Whitelist. With the whitelist feature, you can block distracting apps and manage screen time more effectively. For example, add study-friendly apps to the whitelist, and once you start the focus timer, apps not on the list can't be used.

3.5.2 Updates
- Live Activities will now always show on your lock screen. Once the timer's up, you can handle things right there, no need to open the app. (Heads up: We might add features like skipping breaks or auto-repeat timers in the future.)
- Live Activities now supports a Light Mode.
- Swiping to access settings, the timeline, and data pages from the home screen is now more fluid and responsive. iPhone users will enjoy haptic feedback when switching between pages.
- During pauses and breaks, the Whitelist mode will not be activated.
- The English translation has been optimized.

Everyone's welcome to try out this awesome whitelist feature. If you encounter any bugs or have suggestions you like, feel free to share with us. We're really looking forward to making FocusPomo better together with all of you (^ ^)

Great!

I really like this app, there’s clearly a lot of thought and love gone into it. Here’s a couple of things on my wishlist:

• The ability to create/schedule ‘routines’, so like Routine A: 25m of X category, short break, 25m of Y category, short break, 25m of Z category, long break. For things like morning routines or habits I often chain together. The ability to then schedule those as repeating in the calendar would be great.

• Somewhat related, at the moment if you put an event in the calendar it doesn’t count as a tomato, but I like to use calendars to plan ahead and remind me to do things. It’d be great if you could schedule stuff but then have a reminder at the time that you could open to start the pomo. That way, you could plan ahead, and still get the tomatoes counted.

• Building off the other two, a calendar sync would be great (I use iCloud calendar). So that if I put something like ‘yoga’ into my iCloud calendar, I don’t have to manually add it each time into FocusPomo too, which doubles the effort.

These are just some added things that’d make it more seamless and less manual, but in general the app is great. It’s very polished, the style it’s cute, the font and colours really fit the brand, it’s very cohesive, all the extra haptic and gyroscope touches make for a delightful UX.

You need to pay for everything!

I have been looking for a timer app that’s cute and not complicated to use, and this app is! It really helps with my workout because it reminded when to take a break. As well as that it also helps a lot with my study, so I don’t over study on one subject! However, the only problem is… you have to pay for everything! I have to pay to change the timetable, you have to pay to change the break times, you have to pay for the widgets. I could go on really, but I think this is kind of a problem beaks as a student, unfortunately I don’t really want to be paying like what 7.99 a month just to make some minor changes. Now this amount might not seem like a lot, but I’m sorry, I could really use that money on something much better that just some cute additions. Seriously though, I live in a university dorm room, so I have to spend my money wisely because my parents aren’t there to caution me where to spend my money properly (as much as that really helps). But yeah, I think that not only me but other people like me would really appreciate it if u could make atleast some things free. 😅

Super cute!!!!!

I’ve always had trouble with studying for longer periods of time so having a pomodoro timer is a must for me but the ones I usually use were boring and not motivating but this app has really changed the game for me. The amount of dopamine I get from creating a cute little tomato that can roll around after my study session is ridiculous.
One suggestion that I have is that maybe you could involve some kind of currency in the app that you earn while you study and then with the currency you can buy different items (instead of the tomato) and change the background.
I’d even pay money :)
