Good news but hard to use
It's great that this new app is now listing surplus all over the country that projects like ours can access - this helps those we are supporting but also reduces food waste and all the related socio-environmental issues relating to that. However, these are the initial suggestions I have to make it work better (for us and for the intended aims):
- ability to filter for stores by location
- ability to save preferred stores
- ability to sign up for regular donations from a store so it's reserved for our project
- make sure stores are not listing the wrong produce or not listing at all if they already have local agreements as it's happening a lot that various prone cta arrive to collect and there's nothing there
Difficult to use
This app is really complicated to use , we collect waste food from stores but often arrive to find nothing for us , when it is offers ( especially at small Tesco’s) basically the staff find it too complex and our volunteers are really confused by all the options. Great idea but just too complicated
Terrible
We are a multiuser organisation. It logs us all out all of the time and recently it won’t let us log back in again. This food is for the most needy in our community and we rely on it weekly to feed people. But with such an unreliable platform we never know where we are.
